Been there, done that. It never ends, because they make you do the CBLs every couple of months.

Do they last eight hours each time?

Only the first time. After that, they're usually 10-20 minutes. Of course, you'll probably have trouble finding time do them, as Walmarts nationwide are understaffed since the hiring freeze last year.

Oh yeah, I went into overnight mod, which is apparently short at my store.
My only issue was sitting on my ass for eight hours doing the CBLs. It's so boring. I like to actually do stuff. Luckily my manager sympathized a little and told me to take a longer smoke break than usual. That little bit helped me.
