Don't lose hope! Every supportive word counts, no matter how much you don't believe it.

It's better to try and fail than it is to give up and never truly know. And if you succeed, so much the better.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you need to accept that it's not your job to help them.

Don't blame yourself. I know it's never easy to lose a friend. Especially under circumstances such as this. But that doesn't mean you should stop caring and trying. All you can do is all you can do. You may reach them and you may not. You wouldn't watch someone choke and not try to give them the Heimlich maneuver would you?
