The website is pretty quiet, unfortinately. Despite mine and the webmaster's best efforts. Everypony prefers facebook. You can still go to the website for news about meetups and such, but if you want to actually communicate with local bronies, facebook is the best way. We have a meetup on the 27th of November you wanna come?
I met eight other bronies at a comic-con last weekend actually. four of them hung out with us* for most of the event, the other four were just others we* ran into and met. The first guy we* ran in to was dresed up as a Wonderbolt. The next two we* ran into, one was dressed up as Rainbow Dash, the other as Discord The last girl we* ran into was dressed up as Fluttershy There was another girl dressed up as Dash as well, but we never tracked them down again. Also, on three occasions, some of us sang three songs out loud. They were: - Main theme song - Art Of The Dress - Cupcakes It was awesome to meet other bronies that I didn't know before hand! * = me, my brother and three of his friends.
Oh, it's pretty quiet at Davidson. For the longest time I thought I was the only one. Then someone who'd heard about my interests left a message on my door's dry erase board saying "Viva Luna of the Lunar Republic!" I don't know who it was, but it's nice to know there are folks around here who don't think my hobby a freaky precursor to serial killing ^^
I know six Bronies at my school. One of them has been a brony for as long as I have. Two of them are people I've gotten into it, just by being a Brony around them. I try not to overplay the themes and references, for my part.
Very quiet on this side. Although a small boy asked if my shirt was original and said it was cool. He was with a couple of girls that giggled about it. I wasn't embarassed, I just wondered 'how do they know about this?'
Good to see another Australian Brony, I myself am from a small town near Adelaide in South Australia. Unfortunately the pony love isn't quite as widespread here as it seems to be in Perth. I don't know any bronies in my area, though I think I may be in the process of converting two people at my school. Everybody around me knows of my love of the show, yet seem to suffer from some kinda memory loss because whenever I mention it they are surprised by it. There is a teacher at the school who is a brony as well, but I have no clue who that is. I have no clue who it is because the only thing that tipped me off to it was the notepaper we got back from our history exam. There are a number of people who marked the exams, so I have no clue which one of them marked it, but once I had finished doing the exam I started writing on the notepaper a short random story about Pinkie Pie meeting Hitler. As i said, it was short and random, and was more just plot points than an actual story, but when we got the history exam back, we also got the notepaper back, and someone had written on it, "It needs to be about 20% cooler". So i do know that there are certainly bronies in my area, but it seems to be a rather unspoken of subject, which makes me feel both happy and sad.
