I completly agree with everything you said plus i'm autistic and have aspergers and I wasn't offended by her then again i'm a adult and not a kid.

 

I still say it was more offensive to censor her then to leave it how it was. That whole situation was blown out of proportion. It's not like we CAN'T watch the original Derpy scene anymore.

 

I just sort of find the whole principal of the situation to be complete crap...

Isn't it great to be part of a forum where cussing is at a bare minimum? I never cuss around family or in my house either, though a few things almost slipped out when playing MW3 the other day.

 

Yeah, I've said '****' once or twice on the internet, but I never swear in real life.
I do say crap though when something very bad happens.

I actually find it sad that they had to censor Derpy. We all have our faults, so why try to cover them up? I don't agree with the idea that those who make mistakes or those who are mentally challenged should be removed from a cartoon show, particularly when it isn't even mentioned that she is mentally challenged. I think the act of censoring is worse than the act of having her there in the first place. It's disrespectful as far as I'm concerned to try and change her. Would you remove mentally challenged people from a school class because they are offensive in the way they conduct themselves? I believe not.

I've just found it ironic that the people who wanted derpy off the show were doing so because they believed that it was insensitive to have such a character. By taking the charrie off, that too is insensitive. xD
