I Was going to go listen to some of DjAlex Music and it said his account has been closed it said this "My Little Pony: Friendship ..." This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement from claimants including: Linda A. Zietz Alex Saadeh Adolf Bush I Do not know what to think if you could please check this out for me? Thanks
I heard about this... and sadly it was removed. They were discussing about this in the "Bronies" Facebook group page, and I asked about what had happened. They told me that his account was removed due to "copyright misuse." That's all I heard about it, and if anypony has any more information about this, I'm all ears. I'm not sure if he has a back-up account, but I really hope he does... His music was just way too awesome.
Sad, yes. But look on the bright side, we still have the likes of WoodenToaster, Omnipony and AcousticBrony, right? I hope I don't speak too soon... .__.
Oh come on. Another one. Is everything just gonna start to fall off the internet. First the archive, now DJalexs. I hope it's just some trolls and not hasbro.
He listed a backup here: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=287284194650591&id=233334366712241 Don't panic, he still has Twitter and Facebook.
Does that mean all brony channels will fall. Woddentoaster, tombstone, mic, pinkiepie swear, jackle app What about artist. Will they make them remove all fan art. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Alex.S has a backup account, don't worry. It has been an issue and a file has been claimed to youtube. The music was not the issue likely but more the use of pony video content in his video's i assume. Likely the popularity of his video's attracted those copyrighting *squee!*s :/ Don't worry i'm sure his account will be ok. Hasbro needs to be more clear about the usage of their content and the brony community should raise their voices towards hasbro about fair use of their content. The best (but not easy way) would be to have someone reach lauren faust somehow about the issue. Perhaps someone more in the hasbro or production team can give a more clear indication of the limits how far we brony's can go with using the content of MLP. I also dislike the growing strict and agressive results of copyrighting, i have to write and verify with every content of a DJ almost before i can distribute a lasershow with music or have to get some kind of licensing contract which is really expensive.. so most of the time in my industry we leave out the music and tell people to get it from the following itunes link (So with copyrighted music i will lose all sound effects and those kinds of things when i want to distribute something to the market. ***Update**** seems like Hasbro never reports brony fancontent. In fact trolls are falsifying papers to act like a part of Hasbro. This in fact actually surpasses trolling and is really considered fraud. Fraud is not legal in any country around the world and normally would give a lawsuit or huge fine to anyone being fraudulent. Youtube should either verify papers better before removing content that might not be fraudulent at all. Or consider redirecting the fraudulent report to the local police of the user. Police and stuff might sound scary and extreme, but when you think of it.. when people are aware of these actions being taken, people will stop doing crap like this. Secondly, as a company like Hasbro i would feel pretty screwed that people can pretend as if they are the company and get away with it. *******update******
Youtube: Hubabalaaaa....Hmmm? Copyright? QUICK!! SUSPEND THIS ACCOUNT, QUICKLY!!! This is about right with Youtube's crew when it comes to suspending or shutting down people's accounts to the fact that some troll just keep hitting the flagged button in order to report peoples accounts to be shut down.
Youtube should implement some sort of A.I. that detects trolling patterns. I really hate this, I love his music. Good thing I downloaded everything I could a few weeks ago.
Story of my life... Same thing happened to EPR, all it takes is one whiney little troll to report an account on Livestream/Youtube/Etc and the company in question will suspend it without question; They're allowed to as it's part of the TOS. Whereas if it were copyright they'd get in trouble - Rather than take the risk they just bring down the banhammer on valid and invalid copyright claims alike. It's a joke, especially when you lose your subs/views/favs and hours spent uploading the music. . . They should really be more open to appeals and actually investigate claims rather than hitting the damn panic button! Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Wait... the archive's down?! *checks website* Why'd they go and do that (Hasbro or not)?! I hope that the archive has a backup plan... On the subject of DJAlex, I'm a fan of his music, and it's really upsetting to hear about this. I'm glad he has a backup though.
If alex.S fills in a report to (that will send an email to support@youtube.com) He will get his account back. I figured it's the flagspamming method, same method that was once used on me. You will have all your subscribers and viewcounts still, but there is a big chance all your video's are removed on reactivation, so you need to reupload those. Also removing our pony video's from youtube will only statisfy the troll.
If you haven't already heard, he created a new account http://www.youtube.com/officialalexs He is currently in the process of counter-claiming to get his original account back.
