E-mail seems to be of a dying breed nowadays. I remember a time when it was used as texting or instant messaging is today. Does anyone still use it like this?
I use email almost every day. I use it for my writing class, college work, and for communication. I also get notifications through my email from various sites such as from here, if that counts.
Ironic, I E-Mailed one of my teachers a few minutes before reading this. E-Mail is still pretty useful for formal business.
I used to, but not anymore. My Email account's too outta control to use now, it has tens of thousands of unread emails (Seriously), I'm not going to be able to go through all that. Unless I delete all my messages. but the I'd be worried in case I delete something important... GAH! I just use it to sig up to sites now.
Don't really use it to talk with people, except some relatives. Other than that I primarily use it for school, notifications, or mailing list/subscriptions.
I use e-mail A LOT! As my immediate family (my mum and dad, and my older brother and older sister) are all either interstate or overseas, and it is a lot cheaper (free) to talk to them, than it would be to call them...
Less efficient means of communication lose their immediate relevance when more efficient means are established. Snail mail lost face to e-mail. E-mail is losing face, in some ways, to texting, skype, and instant messaging. One day, when we can contact and hold a conversation with a person using only our thoughts, thanks to some sort of advanced communications technology, all other forms will become near irrelevant almost overnight. I still use email for a wide variety of things, though.
I love email! I only wish my friends thought the same. I love writing letters, both email and by physical mail. It's much more fun than texting :3
Granted, it's during the parasprite incident. I wish I could get the five songs they play on the radio out of my head.
