I used to hate The Ginyu Force for some reason now I like all of them except for you Guldo you suck and I hate you.
I'm current on the manga, but the Uchiha clan was a part of Konoha and he slaughtered them. He even admits that they could've been saved if he trusted Sasuke more. He's something of a tragic hero at best, but he's still an antagonist for most of the series.
Well, he did say there was a CHANCE that Sasuke could have swayed them to change their minds. I don't see how, but Itachi did say that. His "mistake" still guaranteed no civil war, though it turned Sasuke into a psychopath. I guess a hero or villain depends on your point of view.
