"It's quite alright Hibiscus, he's my assistant. He won't trouble you, but I can not let you wonder the halls, that would be too dangerous and the backlash would likely cause an uproar that even I cannot hold back. You will have to be teleported, and Hibiscus, don't say a word about what happened inside this room, and if you get drunk, eat a flower." Snow said, her horn glew once more and right before Hibiscus was teleported away she said, "Goodbye." and then he was gone.
Ashes stood up when the door opened, surprised to see an Earth pony in the castle. But, if he was in the office, with Snow, it means he wasn't any Earth pony. "Oh, finally, my turn arrives." He turned to Snow, and his eyes glown a dark blue color. "We need to talk. About what happened down here."
Hibiscus reappeared just outside the earth pony town. This time, he wasn't able to hold his stomach. He turned to the side of the road and retched over the side. After he was done, a weak feeling washed over him. 'I've had too much excitement for one day...' he thought. Hibiscus trudged into the town and back to his farmhouse. Most of the passerbys must have just assumed he was under the effects of a hangover, which was not true for once. As he passed to the outskirts of town, he noticed an abundance of pegasi in the area. 'Wonder what they're up to.' he thought curiously. He arrived outside his house and looked it over with a frown. It was so plain. Dull and colorless. The unicorn's castle had been vibrant and bright. 'I should give this place a makover. It would be good for me.' He thought as he trotted inside.
"Ah yes, well I will just say that was the unforunate by-product of a failed expriment and leave it at that. Now, I need your help preparing my speech for the next Tribe meeting, with at least one earth pony representative at my side, whom I'm pretty sure is the head earth pony representative, all I need to do is convince the pegasi to more peaceful terms. If we do that, we are on our first step to a unified nation" Snow replied. She floated out some quill and paper, "Let's get started."
Ashes grolwed unperceptably to her evasive answer, and sat in front of her desk. "You know i ain't that good in politics. However, if we are ready on our side... I guess it could work. Just tell them that we'll experiment something to feed on our own, it'll show the pegasi that we can live on ourselves, and show the Earth ponies that we don't need their help. Maybe it'll give us a nicier image at the tribe council? Oh, and i've decided to share the project with you. I won't be able to handle all this alone, and i don't have enough autority to gain respect and been heard. The project consist to move the entire castle to the south, and feed on the White hopes until we find out how to grow vegetables and other kind of food. It's a big project, and for this huge spell, we need energy. I tought we could put the castle on some rock wheels, by levitating the castle on the platform under construction, then summon the most powerfull wind we could to push it. I had the route traced, and i've studied the field out there. Do you remember what our country looked like before the first blizzard? The sun, the fresh air, and the perfect dirt for the Earth ponies? It looks 10 times better than that. I've located a cliff that looks quite exactly as the one we're on, over a lake of drinkable water, and some amazing dirt to welcome your flowers. Just say half of that at the tribe council, and i'm sure that, if we find a way to solve our little problems, we could unify the tribes and peacefully live in that new land. The only question is, How are we going to bring harmony back between the tribes?"
"No, if you do it will completely upset the balance!" Snow suddenly exclaimed, she recovered and cleared her throat, "I guess you do not know the true situation we are in. I only grow food to keep us alive, nothing more. If we were to become entirely self sufficent, well, the unicorns would want something, something that would really put the unicorns on top. I think you know what exactly they will want." Snow turned to her papers and wrote something down real quick, she rolled the paper into a scroll and with a fizzle of sparkles, dissolved and floated out an opening in the office, I hope that those growing instructions reach Hibiscus soon, or he might go boom, Snow thought. Snow floated another paper and began writing the beginning of her speech, "How do you think this sounds; Dear Ladies and Gentlecoats, we are at the brink of disaster, and the resulting catastrophe could end life as we know it unless we all work together."
Ice follows the pegasus all the way back to the city in the clouds and continues to secretly watch him. "I wonder what he is doing here" Ice wondered out loud to himself.
Ashes sighed. "Yeah, it sounds nice. And, after, add something to remember them not to fight. We have to put an end to this immature fights and have a calm, respectfull meeting. I have something to help with that. Don't you see my ashes aren't in the same shade of grey than usual? I'm sorry to have done this, but when 'It' happened, i ran in the farm, and tought it coud be usefull to renew my ashes, so i burned three White Hopes. But, if i could take the magic from theses ashes, and spread it in the council room, maybe it will calm down everypony?"
Moonbeam's ears perk up. "You can come out now, I don't want to start anything right off the bat. It you must know why I'm here then just come out and say it. If not I ask your assistance finding a place here to set up and get in on some action." That pegasus could have been following me for ages, Moonbeam thought. I have to start concentrating or all my training would have been for nothing. Moonbeam awaits his followers answer,
"Maybe, but do it discreetly, don't want everypony to panic, now do we?" Snow said as she scribbled another part to the speech.
"Yes, let's focus on the speech. Maybe we could go with 'We don't mean to hurt the pegasi when we say that the weather is a problem: It is out of their control. That's why i propose to find together a way to remove those clouds and all of this snow.'. I wonder if they would take it as an insult anyways, they're so susceptive."
"I don't know." Snow said, she closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, and said, "Could you kindly leave, I often can concentrate better alone."
"Oh, yeah, sure. I'll be in my room, if you need me. Good luck." Ashes went out of the office, and closed the door quietly. As he said, he went to his room, and started to prepare for the Tribe Council.
Hibiscus wandered back through his fields, this time through the corn section. The wind rustled through the stalks, and it felt good in his mane. The skies were clear today, but it wasn't the usual 'Pegasi are shirking' ordeal. Something about the sky today felt...calming. While he picked various pieces of corn, not a single pegasus or unicorn bothered him. Hibiscus felt like today was the beginning of a new day that he was going to like!
Snow played some music in her head she closed her eys and drifted deep into thought. The speech came togather in her head to the music of the orchestra, pieces came togather and almost instinctively found their way to the paper. After several minutes of this, Snow had finished the speech, which she rolled up and walked over to her calender, the next meeting was at 5:00 o' clock today, she checked her clock. "Alright, it's 2, so that gives me 3 hours to get to the meeting hall." Snow said to herself, and walked out her office.
Hibiscus finished gathering the fruits of his labor and looked at his new haul. He had double what he generally got whenever he went through his crops in half the time, this could even be a record! Grinning like a total lunatic, he trotted back to his home, where he stored the food, nearly doubling what he already had. With nothing else left to do, he took a look at his sundial (Feudal Equestria, think people!) and saw that the time was around 2:30. There was to be another meeting tonight, so he decided he may as well attend. A meeting pro to the earth pony side would make this the best day ever!
(I think your thinlin too far back Jhera, in fuedal times, they had clocks, just not watches, you know, big grandfather clocks. And besides, hard to read a sundial in the middle of a castle. Oh, and don't forget about Snow's note on how to take care of the flower)

(Its okay, but prepare to feel like an even bigger idiot, the fuedal times, aka Medival times, took place from around 11-12th century A.D to around 14th century A.D.)
Ashes took his most beautifull quill, a dark purple colored one, and with a pure silver tip. He put it in it's wooden case, and took a notebook from his desk. He tore the first pages, wich had been used for something else, and put the notebook in his bag too. He looked over in his room, then at his bag, and kicked it next to his hay-bed. "Bad idea to carry things, sometimes." He smiled and walked to Snow's office, as she exited the room. He walked to her. "So, how about the speech?"
