Iriko gathered what he could in silence, and then would walk out of the hangar with two large bags of weapons and armor. If someone were to stop him, they better have a damned good reason, it would take possibly another two years to hunt down Cryotech.
Steve heard a noise coming from inside a nearby hanger, and pulled his gun. It appeared that they'd missed one. Stepping into the hanger, he leveled his gun at the person within, a girl that appeared to be in her late teens or early twenties, and had what looked like a pair of wings on her back. "Don't move. Any sudden movements, and I put a bullet in your head. You don't look like one of Cryotech's people. Tell me who you are, and what you're doing here. Now."
Isaac would have done something, but in a close range firefight like that, the most he would have been good for was a human shield. Instead, he chose to patiently wait it out, and gather as much info as he could about the self-obsessed individual called "Cryotech." It went pretty well, and the next time he showed himself, Isaac would do... Something. Probably. More than likely. "Ahh, flight delays." He opened up his metal arm and began fiddling with a few important things.
"I am not your enemy. All I wish to know is if all those who were suppose to fly out today is safe." JJ explained raising her hands to show that she didn't mean any hostility. "Please put the gun down."
"You better leave, the city's military will be here in a matter of minutes, they will kill you." Iriko said aloud enough for the group to hear. He limped off with what he could carry, he had his own reasons to leave.
(Sorry I haven't been on lately) The tall man entered the desolate city on the speedy bike, the dog in the sidecar enjoying the wind in her face. Adrian could only think of the lullaby he listened to as a child as his eyes scanned the vast emptiness of that city. One of the things Adrian fondly remembered about his past was visiting Uncle Till, who happened to be the lead singer of a band known as Rammstein. Uncle Till's song, "Mein Herz Brennt" was a song originally made as a bit of a joke lullaby song, the two of them having quite a bit in common, such as that twisted sense of humor. But Uncle Till was gone now. Adrian had no idea what had happened, but not too many people had made it out of Germany alive. At least, not too many that he knew. He finally found what he was looking for: Downtown Portland. The place was a haven of equipment just for a situation just like this. The irony was that there were so few people, these days and yet it seemed like everyone was prepared for the end... until the end happened. He came over to a parking lot, and parked near the doors to some kind of building with nothing needed inside. He put down the kick-stand, and got up, Katy jumping out of the side car and cuddling up to his side. He petted her gently, and waved his hand away from himself, which he taught her meant that she was allowed to go off by herself, meaning that she'd probably end up at the nearby pet-shop, eating up the dog food and treats. Adrian himself went around, going through buildings, salvaging what he could find and use, sometimes even finding some delicious gold colored ice-cream bars. Edible goodies he stuffed into his backpack, other things he just shoved into a large duffle-bag he had brought along.
"No, we all refuse to surrender. We've came all this way and we're not just leaving because you simpily told us to! We would rather die!" The last remaining leader of Cryotech replied, just as thirteen more suddenly appeared. Adaria, displeased with the attitude of the Cryotech goons, had a small smirk to her face as she tightened the grip of her blades. "Good, makes things simple." With that, Adaria accelerated phenomenally at her enemies, jumping into the air and throwing a knife right between the eyes of one unfortunate Cryotech member before coming downwards at the group. Before they could raise their rifles to fire, Adaria came down onto the head of one goon and snapped his neck between her knees as gravity continued to pull her downwards to the ground below. Taking her blades, she then killed the last remaining members with relative ease, using her cat-like reflexes and agility to dodge enemy fire until the Cryotech leader remained. Just before the Cryotech leader tried to empty his magazine at Adaria, he found both of her blades had been thrown into his chest just as she pulled out what appeared to be a wooden rifle and fired at his head, which exploded like a watermelon on impact. With seemingly all of them dead, one final Cryotech member, a young adult who did not even fight and quivered in fear, tried to run away before Adaria threw a knife perfectly that him him in his kneecap, sending him screaming in pain as he fell to the ground. Adaria then dragged him by the legs towards the rest of the group while retrieving her blades and pointing them at the neck at the last Cryotech member. "Who do you work for? Every false answer we get, I'll take a limb."
More and more of the soldiers appeared, Iriko looked behind himself and sighed, "Things never get old." There were still a few of the men left, at least 26. He would drop the items and run at a fast speed, preparing his half katana for battle.
The sounds of a battle from the second hanger, slightly distracted JJ from the gun pointed to her head. With swift movements, JJ danced past the armed man. Once inside the next room, JJ saw a plethora of soldiers and a very diverse group of beings, all armed. JJ unsheathed the huge broad sword that was bound to her back. She took a defensive position, unsure of who was friend and who was foe.
"Seriously!? How many of these guys are there!?" It seemed that every time the battle ended, more of Cryotech's goons would show up. If it had been a story, it would have seemed like somebody was trying to play up how amazingly badass own character was, at the expense of nobody else being able to move the story forward. He sighed, and began dropping foes with his revolver. With everybody fighting, the battle was quickly over. Hopefully, it was over for real this time, and everybody would finally be able to get in the plane and travel to Britain as planned.
Iriko rushed passed some girl, and sliced his first victim in half. Two of the soldiers were pursued, one of them having a blade stuck out of their throat, and the others neck was snapped. Iriko swiftly grabbed a random knife and stabbed a soldier in the throat and swiftly grabbed the rifle, shooting five men.
And then the battle ended with all of Cryotech's goons dead. Again. No more were coming. They were all dead. Battle over. On to the next thing. (Seriously, can we please finish this part and move on? We still need to get the group to Britain so they can meet Bright's character.) Steve sighed, and spoke to the man with the katana and the girl with wings. "Well, that was interesting. Would you two care to introduce yourselves? Make it fast. I need to get these people to Britain, and this mess has put me behind schedule."
(Sorry, I went too far on that lol) Iriko handed the man a piece of paper, he knew how to speak English very well being American and all, but he wanted to stay silent. The paper would read, "The Wandering Blade." He put away the katana and extended a hand for the shake, still keeping the left hand on his weapon just incase.
"I am JJ. I am on my way back home to the ruins of New New York," JJ explained briefly. "If you need assistance with anything, I'll stay if that is alright with everyone." JJ replace her sword into its sheath and scanned the faces for an answer to her offer.
Steve looked at 'The Wandering Blade' curiously and politely shook his hand. "Well, it was nice to meet you, but like I said, I'm running late." Gathering up a few more rockets from the fallen assailants, he headed for Fedex, eager to get back on track. Steve called back to JJ as he climbed into the plane. "I'm don't think we'll need any help, but we will be passing close to New York on the way to Britain. After you helping us out back there, I figure the least I could do is offer you a ride that far."
JJ smiled at steve, "ok, you save me the energy of flying there myself and I'm curious as to how you fly this beautiful piece of machinery." She then hopped inside and eagerly awaited take off.
Iriko gathered what he could silently and left, hoping his team were still at the Inn. The Hellwalkers were a newer species to him, but shook it off. If they had the ability to control darkness, then that would be great for defensive measures. He carried at lest four large bags of items, stuffed ammunition in his pockets. As soon as he got to the Inn, he was horrified at the scene. His team were laid across the entrance as it burnt down. He quickly gathered his dead teammates and line them up carefully. He heard a cough. Iriko turned to on elf his men, Richardson, "What happened?" He asked quietly. "T...they at...attacked, we co...couldn't hold them o..ff." He was burnt and injured badly. "I'll get you out of here-" "No, hunt down the bastard, kill him. He headed off to Bri...tian." "Who was it?" "Cryotech." Richardson said as he took his last breath. Iriko got up, a new found anger from within him burs ten into electricity, no, literally. His body was enveloped in all sorts of jolts, "CRYOTECH! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL KILL YOU!!!" He quickly grabbed a picture from Richardson's hand, it was double sided. One side had a picture of the entire team from when they were kids, and the other side had a picture of his wedding. Iriko took off in a sprint to the airport.
The plane was taxiing down the runway, approaching takeoff speed, when Steve spotted swordsman from earlier sprinting towards the plane. Slamming on the brakes and cutting power to the motor, he barely managed to stop in time to avoid crashing into the man. With a sigh, he got up from his seat and threw open the cargo door of the plane. "Let me guess. That guy from earlier is headed for Britain, and you want a ride. Is that it? Get in, and close the door behind you." Without waiting for a reply, he walked back to his seat and switched the motor back on.
