The man exhaled briefly in such a way that it seemed like amusement took to the man's mind. "Indubitably, I played a part. She ran away herself, though. Yet it was not our grand scheme that caused this..." The man looked over his shoulder. "... We are merely the messiah here. The Father's work is my path, and the path of black leaves is a long, narrow road. And don't think we can't see into the shadows. We were born in the darkness... you merely adopted it....."
The figure's shoulders shook as they laughed. "Ah, my cryptic friend, is it not better to have a choice in embracing darkness rather than being obliged towards it?" It walked towards the man, staring out the window as well. A cloak covered their face, showing only lips with dark veins pulsing through.
"Quite," He said, again staring back out, unto the huge castle not too far away. "And soon, darkness shall envelop this place and it's people..." The man slowly opened the window, followed by a huge black bird flying in, perching on an old leather chair put in front of the monitors. The bird's eyes glowed a bright red all of a sudden. "We have a message..." Suddenly, on the monitors, it showed the enlistment of the detectives, seen from outside a window on top a tree branch. "It seems... we might have a little more fun than expected....."
