You really don't know why so many people dislike Diamond Tiara? Really? Please tell me you're joking. I don't suppose it could have anything to do with the horrid, savage pleasure she takes in mentally tormenting everyone around her? Or perhaps because she blackmails three guilt-ridden fillies into continuing a gossip column they really don't want to do that hurts the feelings and reputations of the ponies who appear in their gossip column, while simultaneously making said ponies hate said fillies more and more with each new column? I could go on. For a very long time.
Compared to DT? Abso-freaking-lutely. Name one single instance in the show where someone else intentionally does bad things to another pony for no other reason than to bear witness to their misery.

I said intentionally. And for no other reason than making them miserable. None of what Pinkie did was with the intent of making Cranky miserable. In fact, everything she did was intended to make him smile. Didn't work out, of course, but it's the thought behind the action that matters most.
More like the worst way she could. Word to the wise: if it involves law-breaking, it's not the best way to do it. And besides, I'm not even talking about the newspaper. I'm talking about everything she does. Every last thing she does she does with the purpose of belittling others.
