Love the outskirts of town and the countryside I commute to college in the city and I feel so out of place
I went to college in a city for about a year, and it was probably the most depressing experience of my life. I wasn't used to the large amount of people everywhere, the constant traffic, and the apartment I stayed it was a real hole in the wall. Peace and quiet is my thing, but I certainly didn't get any of that when I was living there. My only transportation at the time was an extended cab pickup truck, and I had to park it in a parking garage every day when I went to class, none the less maneuver it through all the crazy traffic and whatnot. Someone did a hit and run when it was parked at the apartment I was staying at, and I decided to leave shortly after that. I like to think that it wasn't the city itself that put me off, just the area I ended up living in. The best thing about the whole experience was getting to see a subway station for the first time. I thought it was really cool to watch the trains come in from the tunnels, and to see how quickly the people got on or off of them before they departed.
@Scootaloo You must be close to a huge city if it has subways in it Ive been on one once in my life very cool. But yes I went to a branch campus for a year before I decided to switch over to the main campus in the capital city. Its not bad but its not good. Life moves so fast and my car is a pain to maneuver (long as a pickup) I just want to get my degree and get out of it. Thankfully I dont live in a dorm or apartment commuting is a great option for me because I love driving and my car so roadtrips or commutes never bother me. But yes I defintly agree peace and quiet outside is the place for myself
I like both cities and rural areas. Cities have the best night life. Clubs, bars, venues, oh my! However, I get anti-social at times, so I love the rural areas where I can sit and be alone~
I have quite a few, honestly. But that's why I love where I live. Close to a city, and still plenty of areas to go and just be alone around here. :]
I live in a relatively small town, we have a full-sized supermarket but no entertainment complexes or decent shops - Not even a proper clothes shop just lots of fast food, barbers and of course... Pubs. Peace and quiet is always nice, the best place for that is up by the train station (believe it or not). We have a bypass going... past. So..
(So many errors I'm not gonna correct ^) "T-thanks...B-but...my uncle might not l-like it..." The colt said as he trembled a bit, The Colt was afraid not by his uncle, but by the way he dressed, he never took off that suit, that mask, nothing he kept it all, "S-shouldn't we at least a-ask?" The colt said quietly.
grey, live in the Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch Hub, got everything, its better then city really, between where i work and live, there is a MASSIVE just marsh land with the bourne river going thou it, it takes me ten mins to get to work car/motorbike/push bike.
Your all lucky, I live in bloomin' Manchester. If its not the constant gathering of chavs, its the equally scary gathering of police! .. Music scenes good though.
If they were underpaid, no footballer could pay off the tabloids, we'd see all of them have been having an affair! Sacred rule of life, if you become a sports personality you will have a sudden urge to have an affair.
