Eluuna tried to like the woods. Being a pegasus whose cutie mark focused almost solely on nature, she normally would have liked her surroundings. But, after being in the woods a week, with very little food, she was upset. "Ugh!" she exclaimed, floating. "Is there every any break from the trees here?"
Esy would have done a mid-air shrug but didn't, just looking around as he sighed and said: "Doesen't seem like it..." He turned around to smile in the mares direction, he was lost in though for a split second looking at her. "I feel stupid for asking but... What was your name again?"
Esy kept the smile spread on his face. "That's what I was called, yeah." He was avoiding a few trees himself as he chuckled. "I managed to forget your name somehow, sorry for that!" His saddlebag bounced slightly on his back, most likely because today there wasn't actually much content in it. Which was something Esy was worried about.
"Hey, don't worry about it." she said, blowing her mane out of her face. "I'm going to do another check. Hold on." She rose above the trees, and peered around, looking for a familiar landmark.. She came back down, frowning. "Nothing."
"Nothing? Aww..." Esy sighted slightly. "This place really is empty..." A few moment of complete silence went by before he added: "And quiet..." He lifted a hoof up and nervously ruffled his own mane. "I don't know if I'd make it out here without you... Seems like your good with all this nature stuff... Thanks!"
She shrugged. "Well, it's just my cutie mark. If I were, for example, a fashion designer, I'd be utterly useless." She peered into the dark, foggy woods. "Hey!" she exclaimed. "Look!" Esy changed between looking at the cottage and Eluuna. "That looks kinda creepy doesen't it..." He stopped, now looking at Eluuna with a questioning look. "Should we fly over and... Check it out... ?"
"I think so. Beats wandering around like crazy folk." she said, approaching it with a bold look in her eye.
Esy carefully followed after Eluuna. "See anything?" He looked curiously at the cabin, studying it as they came closer.
"No, it seems to be abandoned." she said, brow furrowed. "Let's knock." She walked over to the door, which was boarded up. "Well, I don't think anyone's living here."
Esy also noticed that the windows was boarded up as well, still following after her. "Yeah, seems abandoned... Everything is boarded up from the outside... A long time ago..."
Eluuna walked off to the side, and grabbed a stick, and wedged it between the door and one of the planks of wood. With a loud crack, the planks were pried off the frame.
Esy watched carefully. "Oh... Smart!" He stared curiously at the door. He picks up the planks that was pried off and collects them in a pile.
"I'll go first, as the big and strong stallion I am!" He joked, and smiled at Eluuna. He finished stacking up the boards as he trotted over to and through the door, his hoof accidentaly caressing hers as he passed her.
She laughed a little at the joke, and opened the door. When he walked by, and accidentally touched her hoof, she stared at it for a moment, and then smiled. She followed him in.
He stopped. "Oh luna... This place is messy..." He looks around for a moment before adding: "Dusty and covered in spider webs..." He turns to look at Eluuna.
"Of course we can clean it!" Esy said and smiled at Eluuna. "After that, of course it would be a fitting shelter!" He clearly seemed happy, looking around.
