So my laptop's developed a problem with it's screen; it's lost some colour, its got a line of blurred (not black) pixels about an inch from the top of the screen, and it's lagging a fair bit. Those are the constant issues, but it only works like that when I have a window maximised; if I don't, then the toolbar appears at the top of the screen, and the rest of the image drops down or jumps about. Very odd. It's only a couple of years old, and it was working fine until yesterday, but I'm 90% sure it's some kind of hardware issue with the panel or cable, as it projects fine onto an external screen Anyone ever have a similar problem to this? I'm thinking of replacing the screen and cable to try and solve it; anyone ever done that successfully, or have any other advice? Any help would be appreciated. Just a shame it isn't a toaster....
I've tried threatening it, I've tried spitting on it, I've tried beating it; nothing seems to work! Seriously though, it's getting very annoying. I've ordered a new screen, so hopefully that'll fix it.
