(Zoop!) At about 3 in the morning, rain began to fall. It was light at first, but it soon became a downpour. Ophelia woke, glancing up blearily at the rain. She was quiet, not making any noise, but curling up a little more.
She sat up, leaning up against the wall. She tipped her head up, looking at the sky before she stood, going over to the edge of the roof.
She looked back at him, her black hair damp and her cheeks rosy from the cold. “I’m here, Abes,” she said quietly, coming back over to him. “You okay?”
“Just... trying to go back to sleep,” she said, settling back in her spot gingerly. Thunder tumbled up ahead, but she ignored it. “Don’t worry. Go back to sleep.”
She frowned, tilting her head. The rain poured on and she glanced up for a moment. “There’s not enough room, Abel. I’ll be right up next to you.”
She didn’t notice his attention at first. Her gaze was set on the horizon, her breath coming out as little clouds of steam. Faint freckles dotted the bridge of her nose, and her eyelashes were dark against her cheek. She paused before looking at him, her eyes soft, grey ringed around a warm brown.
