She noticed his silence, and after about ten minutes, she sighed, taking the remote and pausing the movie. "Okay. Go ahead. Say what you're thinking."
"I just.. wish you had told me that you were planning on leaving after all of it was done. I could have tried not to get so invested."
She exhaled sharply. “Abel, I never said I was planning on leaving. You keep twisting what I’m saying.”
"What did you mean when you said we won’t need to see each other, then?" he asked quietly. He didn't sound angry or like he was arguing, just a little upset and confused.
“Because I think it’s foolhardy to build our plan for our individual futures based on the assumption that we’re going to stay together. It would be much easier to join our plans together than to tear one plan for the two of us apart.”
She folded her arms but rested her head on his shoulder with a sigh. “I don’t want to think about it anymore.”
