So im randomly going threw devianart when i stumbled across this i loved seeing vids of this show Street Sharks as a kid cause comon it was JAWSOME then i remembered other shows i saw as a kid and that were way more awesome then alot of the cartoons of today such as Earthworm Jim Freakazoid not to mention the cartoon version of The Mask and who could forget Swat Kats Anyway this thread is about old cartoons such as these and what you think of them and after looking for the intros to these old shows i cant help but feel sorry for the kids of this era
I remember Earthworm Jim! What was the dog's name? I just remember he would do a version of the Litany against fear from the Bene Gesserit(sp?) from Dune.
one cartoon that marked one big part of my childhood. Krtek
Animaneiacs, Scooby Doo, Herges Adventures of TinTin, The Wild Thornberries, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ducktales (woohoo!), Inspector Gadget, Dexters Laboratory and Johnny Bravo all pop into mind for great shows of the 90s
When I saw that Street Sharks picture it instantly flashed backed memories from my childhood. I loved that show to death when it was on. I must now go find the episodes.
i cant help but think of allot of these awesome shows that were canceled and replaced with this
i know right? i think the directors of cartoon network were drunk or something when they thought of this abomination
Cartoons have started to go down hill pretty badly there are very few cartoons that are consistent throughout their differing season. MLP: FiM is so far the only cartoon that I have found that is the exception to this.
This is exactly why I started watching MLP:FiM after finding it. I used to watch a lot of anime, but at least to me that went downhill too. Maybe I'm just really picky.
watch enough anime and you realize its all the same plot and substance Demigod bad guys, emo good guys or losers, selling underage sex anyway i can say that cartoon network had the right idea to remake Thundercats (its alright so far but i.ll see were it gose) makes me think they would do allot better remaking some of these other good old cartoons that should make a comeback or you know, go back to less substance and more Jawsome
I actually stopped watching t.v. when I found EP only because there was truly nothing that I found good on.
Yeah, I've found myself watching more Boomerang from CN and the Hub for the old shows they keep showing. And when there was more live action then animation on Adult Swim I gave most of that up too. Is Venture Bros. Going to start up again anytime soon btw?
The only show I watch anymore is "Hustle" and "Sherlock" and one of them's about to be cancelled and the other's got a really short series span. Anyhoo, staying onto cartoons, there was also The Flinstones, Top Cat, and one of the best cartoons in the history of the world, Batman: The Animated Series
God how I used to love sitting there watching the endless hours of cartoons. I remember the old MLP being on TV and quickly changing the channel whenever it came on due to it being 'girly'. Oh how times have changed, eh? :derpe:
ok haha tho its not a cartoon i just came across this. this was back when Disney was good
