So, a few days ago, I walk in to my schools Harry Potter fanclub. The first question, of course, is what my Patronus is. Being me, I ask the difference between one and a spirit guide/ spirit animal. The response somewhat shocked me. "The difference is that spirit guides don't exist!" So, this got me thinking. What would your spirit guide be? If you actually have one, even better to post about! If anything, my spirit guide is a feline of some sort. I tend to like cats, and be like cats as well. Well, agile (6 years of fencing does that) and lazy, at least.
A dragon most likely, I always tend to hear something rush over me outside but never see anything. @DanSze- I used to fence as well not as long as you did. I want to try and get back into it again.
Two people posting dragons? Can't tell if coincidence or just dragons are the new mainstream. Also, if you can get back in fencing, I recommend it. It's great excercise, and it gives me good hiking ability. Jumping power ftw.
Well I have always loved dragons and I always feel like I'm being watched from upon high, but in a way that means protection. I cant find anywhere down here in south Texas to fence though my second class in college is on the fifth floor of the library, tuesdays and thursdays and I tend to take the stairs up and down rather than the elevator.
thanks yes just like DanSze i too am in a combat sport, wrestling was mine though i was a heavy weight i was still lighter and thinner than some of the guys i took on so my situation reminded me of the rivalry between the whale and the giant squid, two titans of the same size just a difference in body shape
I'd say that my spirit guide would be a wolf, even though I might wish it weren't, it seems too accurate not to say so. I've also taken a few online tests that all said "wolf" so I'm sticking to my story. I did take a patronus test once, and I got a dove. I have no idea how that worked out.
@ Dilly Star- I took an online test twice that said that my element was water. A friend of mine that is into spiritualistic stuff said that every time he looked at me he could see a blue aura surrounding me. Oh and I also took a test asking what mythological creature I was, believe it or not I got unicorn.
Oh, spiritualistic stuff. I did my research on that at one point. Basically, all it taught me is how to focus my mind on one single thing (Which is nice), and how to influence my body with my mind (Which is also surprisingly useful). As for elements, I think that trying to classify someone by one element is silly. Nothing is ever simple enough to have one facet and one facet only. For example, while most tests associate me with water, as it is my dominant trait, In tests designed to find the two dominant elements I get water/fire, blue/red, or other similar results. And auras, are, well, subjective in terms of theories. Some say aura color is related to aura power, others say it is related to some other traits. Personally, I think it's more likely to be the former, at least judging from all the explanations, but, well, one can never know, can they?
A wise, magestic, beautiful, elegant, brave, and heroic: Spoiler: Patronus Panda. Either that, or a dragon apparently... (just took a Patronus test) but the Dragon supposedly was recieved by 20% of viewers... so, pretty meh in my opinion. ...if I were to follow Pokemon Dungeon tests, then a "majestic penguin" or a amphibian of some sort. Still, probably it would be the one in the spoiler, eeyup.
Unicorn!~ Cool. I think the element stuff is cool to talk and think about, just like spirit animals, because it can mean anything you want. I've also gotten water.
Sadly there are two types of online tests for these things. The badly constructed ones, that often get it wrong, and when they get close to the mark, it's really not something that works, and the well constructed tests that have results so broad that they can literaly mean anything depending on how you read them. The only true source of knowledge for this topic is other humans, and more importantly oneself.
A patronus, eh? That's easy- a cheetah. Specifically a king cheetah, which is a cheetah that has a genetic mutation, which makes it larger and gives it a badflank fur pattern. Yeah....awesome. Cheetahs are smart, cunning creatures. Graceful, yet deadly. Efficient killers, but very fragile. They are my favorite animal. Besides, they can run like the wind...and I love the wind.
King Cheetah, sweeeeet. ...hmm, so what exactly would you consider a good Patronus test, out of curiousity? (to anypony, really)
I took a quiz. My answer? A toad. :c "The TOAD, most may see this as a humiliating patronus. I mean how are you supposed to strike fear into the hearts of evil with a toad... come on. But this patronus is far from a joke; its wisdom surpasses all, giving it a tactical advantage. And by using its massive and adhesive tongue it can spit it out at the enemy and suck it in, making your nemesis’s come to you. Then subsequently swallows them... thus absorbing there power and saving the day. Not a wise patronus to mess with! 29 % from 142732 test takers had this profile! " If I had to go based on my own thoughts, well, I've already had this reasoned out, based on things that have happened. Basically, without elaboration, it would be bipedal and reptilian. I WOULD elaborate, but I feel like it would be better if I didn't. c:
~shrug~ I took a personality test and got a tie between Neutral and Chaotic Evil, so..... I dunno, maybe a snake? Does everything for its own reasons, but abandons at the first sign of trouble? That's not really me me, but according to that test... I'd probably be something like a..... Hmm. What animal is nice, kind, helpful, friendly, and always chipper? Can I pick a combination of Pinkie and Fluttershy?
