Well, I can't help you in those areas since A) I'm not studding to be an IT engeneer, so I have no knowledge in game making and animation B) I hate my voice recorded C) Making a game is quite, quite hard Still, I can help you with other things: First of all, what kind of game you have in mind? A platformer, shoot'em up game?, RTS, TBS? You must define that first. Also, if it's going to be 2d or 3d, sine making a 2d game will be easier than a 3d game. A story board, although if you are going to use the same one like the MA series, that would be easier but you will have to do it ether way and bla bla bla (more technical stuff).
So, it will be a TPS (third person shooter). In that case I suggest you actually using the core ME game and use mods to change it to what you want. Making a game will be to hard for what you want.
Anyway, so it would be exactly like Mass Effect but with ponies? Wouldn't it be better to make a original game?
Not exactly like it similar style and objectives but with different side quest and relations and decisions etc. - - Auto Merge - - and i already of an animator and game designer i just need voice actors.
