She was so close to winning. Just a little less arrogance. Put the ponies in the dungeon before celebrating. Don't leave them out where they can get to each other. Scott Evil needs to teach classes on being a successful villian. No more easily esacapable traps! Sent from my EVO 4G Shift using Tapatalk 2
I like to pretend the changelings are the flutterponies from G1 (they have the same wings), that have fallen under a curse, Queen Chrysalis being the one who accidentally cursed her society long ago, the flutterponies never actually lived near the others, so they don't know what has happened to them making it a sad twist, if only somepony used the elements of harmony instead of love it might have lifted their curse. If only they knew. Queen Chrysalis is cool
I only have on thing to say. How was she beaten by the power of love, if it only makes her stronger? Sorry if it has already been asked.
I guess it worked because the power of love wasn't used on Chrysalis directly, but to power up Shining Armor's powerful protection spell (which seems to be his special talent). That, or the sheer amount of love was simply too much to swallow. Even a changeling queen has to watch her figure, after all. :derpe:
Well, I had the impression that Chrysalis was pretty surprised herself. Maybe Celestia simply underestimated her? The more powerful characters are quite often subject to this in this series.
Now here is the question. Is she better than Discord? and will the season 3 villain be better than both?
Is she better than Discord? Yes. Will the season 3 villain be better than both? No. God Save the Queen.
She was sent away, but what's to stop her from coming back? Nightmare Moon was freed from evil and Discord was turned to stone. I wonder if she has a home to return to or if she will just find another place to infest.
I'm surprised there is not a fan-fic of her and the changeling swarm doing the same thing in Manehatten or something
There's not enough love in Manehattan to feed her subjects. For that matter, I think she went about her conquest all wrong. Why in the hoof did she have her subjects attack the other ponies? If they feed off love, it seems counter-intuitive to cause them fear. I mean, I guess that once Twilight and Cadance escaped, she figured that the jig was up and that she might as well take when she could, but still... I would like to see her at least have a cameo in the next season. Maybe even as a reformed villain of sorts who goes around organizing Hearts and Hooves Day celebrations everywhere. Pony 1: "But, it's almost Nightmare Night." Chrysalis: "Petty details! Now, if you don't love me, I'll make you love me!"
Queen Chrysalis is my favorite MLP FiM villain but I also really like Nightmare Moon and Discord however we know nothing about the new villain not even his name so yeah there you go.
Maybe she was feeding off that ray of hope ponies had when they were held captive. I dunno; it's just my theory. Hope and love are not cousins, but twins born of each other and come hand in hand. Besides, for Chrissie to be blasted outa Canterlot there must have been some mass amounts of hope and love between the ponies. Before it was used to kick her flank, there must have been a substantial amount for her to consume.
