Doctor Errika led Kirk to a containment cell containing what appeared to be a pile of razor blades. As they approached, the pile came to life, clawing and biting at the glass in a rage. Errika placed her hand on the glass, and the creature immediately calmed down. "This being is called a Hrothik, a semi-sapient creature from an unnamed planet in an unnamed system. They are fast, strong, smart, and their scales impervious to most conventional weapons." She grinned, a little to broadly for Kirk's liking. "Your job will be to train it."
