I'd like like to point out that Everypony is not doing so hot. We all know it, and some of us dwell on this. I'd like to point out that three members of the staff have just stepped down. Why? Well, I don't know all of it for each of them, but I do know that some of it was because they felt like Everypony was going to sink into the internet and be forgotten. I'm not going to let that happen. This site has done incredible things for me over the past year, it's made me a better person, it's given me strength and purpose, I'd still be wandering around thinking about what I'd like to do in life and everything. I now know what I want to do, I found my life due to this site. I'm certain I'm not the only one this happened to. Now you may ask, "But Fluttery! How are you going to save the site?" I'm not going to do it, WE ARE. I made a thread a while back saying we needed to bring the site closer together as a community, and I feel like we got barely anything out of it (except EPRP, but not everyone does that). What do you all think we should do? What are things on other parts of the site you don't visit you want on there? Maybe a way to see recent forum activity on the radio, like a live feed? Make a general chat that's on every page so our chat buddies can check forums while checking out the chat? We need to be together as a whole, not just in blotches, because that's what a community is. I don't know what you guys want, so tell me! The site needs help from everyone, not just the staff. We are a community, staff are there to help the public, and to take actions on certain things, but members need to act too. Don't moan and groan about how the RP section is dying, there aren't any new fanfics, or because so-and-so didn't DJ this week, if you have a problem with something, help it! I know for a fact that just plain DJing isn't fun all the time, I'd love to goof off and stuff on the Livestream, but I don't know what you guys would like to see. Send me a PM and I'll do my hardest to do whatever the heck you want (as long as it's within the guidelines). We have the Everypony Greenlight going, you can be on the radio and help out that way! We need shows from people that aren't on the radio, so even if you cling to the GCT, just hop on and suggest a game you play often, record it, and send it our way and we'll check it out. anyone on the radio that writes? Why not make a fanfic about something that came up in the Livestream chat? Or any chat for that matter. If it's funny and/or enticing, we want it. I'm just throwing out suggestions, and now I want yours. If it pops in your head, just leave a comment here, and I'll gather a list and see what we can do. Any suggestion is good right now, because not just everyone's opinion matters, but EVERYPONY'S opinion matters, because we are all Everypony.com.
Gee, I wonder how many threads of this kind have popped up to nothing being done. Oh, I know. About four. You guys really need to work on yourselves before you even dare asking what we, the users, can do. Work on your activity, stop being lazy, and start showing that you care about the community itself instead of doing things for it. Doing things for community =/= caring for community. Go out there and be active, be creative, have fun with them. Don't just say 'Okay here is what you guys can do.' At least make an EFFORT to go and have a good time and show the users that you aren't just watching them and waiting for them to screw up. That habit has gone on for two years and it needs to stop. tl;dr Work on yourself, and when you are all confident that you can actually motivate both yourselves and the community, come and try this again. Because this will be a failed attempt as of right now.
There were suggestions for a shoutbox a several times. Every time it was rejected. Revisit it again if you want. I wouldn't mind one.
My state's forum has one of those, it's really handy and awesome, that's where I got the idea - - Auto Merge - - What if we had days for playing games, set up groups on here. I know a lot of people play LoL, minecraft, you name it. Just make some groups, make some skype groups, play with people from the site? That'd be good for the gamers who don't come on so much. (AudensMilitus gave me this idea, he said he doesn't show up a lot because he plays games)
Loving these ideas, Fluttery, especially the Game days and the Shoutbox. We really do need to pull this community together. Heh, I remember some talk of an "Everypony Magazine" a while back, but seems it's been completely dropped... Still think that could be fun. ^^

Laughter can bring any community together, but I suppose we have derailed this thread somewhat! The most logical thing to do is take our plans of world (booty) domination over to Sugarcube Corner.
Moving past the so sought after reformation of the staff, I have heard complaints that the chat isn't to find as most of the other areas of the site.
Idea for building the community: Getting More People! I don't know how we are going to follow through with this, but this will be an interface for it. Help make ideas for stuff to do! First off, if we are going to "save the site", then we are going to need a bigger community, then this means we need to advertise. This is probably the most crucial part. Do we even advertise very much? Secondly, impress the people when they come here. We want them to stay for a bit! Third, integrate the people with the community. Make newcomers want to come back often. Get them involved. Ensnare them in the ropes of involvement! Muahahaha! Once again, this is only an outline, not actual ways to get something done. Please help follow through! I would like some chatroom-forum integration. This would probably get me more active in the forums, and not be exclusively on the radio.
