Anyone alive down there? I'll be moving back home (within the next week or two) for a while from Tallahassee, getting ready to transfer from FSU to UCF and whatnot, so I'll be in the general Fort Myers area for a couple months, if any of you are out there, either reply here, my visitor wall, or in a PM, and we'll meet up sometime and hang out.
Now, Ft. Myers I can visit on the weekends, I think that's only like a 1.5 hour drive for me, just have to cross the swamp. Or come visit the wonders of the east coast of Florida!
Haha, yeah, I may be able to go over there sometime, we'll see. Not much to do in my town except for the weekend races and redneck yacht club, which is pretty insane... no boats involved, lol, giant mud holes I do have a couple boats though if you like to fish. The atmosphere back home is ALOT different than our lovely capitol, believe it or not, there isn't a bar every 50 feet.
Moving today, woooo. Definitely not looking forward to the 7 hour drive home, but it'll be nice to see my friends again
Stay safe and drive casual. You know how the drivers in Florida can be! Sent from my EVO 4G Shift using Tapatalk 2
Well, I'm actually moving back to Orlando soon because I finally finished college and can't find a job in Texas (where I was going to school; family lives in FL). Though, I'll be living in the psychotic tourist area of Orlando, not the college/UCF area. Coincidentally, I was searching around the other weekend and found out that there was a brony meetup in Orlando (https://www.facebook.com/events/137384456383511/) so I know you're/we're not alone, as well as a Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/centralfloridabronies/. But south of Central Florida I don't know too much about, besides Miami I guess. ; ( And why are you transferring from FSU to UCF? I thought FSU was a good school. Are they not offering what you're majoring in or just want to be closer to Ft. Myers which I'm assuming is your home?
I actually went to the last Central Florida group meetup, was pretty fun. I'm actually transfering because of a couple reasons really. 1. I'll be living with my aunt (technically Winter Park or Winter Haven, not sure...Winter-something!), free of charge. I don't do dorms, and have been renting a house for the last year, and it's becoming quite expensive. 2. Yes, I will be infinitely closer to home. Punta Gorda, being home. (however, nopony ever knows of it, so I just say Ft. Myers, it's just alot easier lol) 3. UCF has a better degree program for my field of study, and my follow-up studies afterwards.
I totally would have went to that meetup if they had it like a weekend or two later. Next week is when I'll be moving back to America's phallus. Yeah, dorms suck and college apartments and their too damn high rents are not much better either. You can't beat living for free. It's probably Winter Park because I think that's closer to UCF than Winter Haven... but I'm not entirely sure so don't take my word for it. I'm not a central Florida native, or a Florida native at all for that matter. My "in between jobs" status is why I'm having to move back to where my family has retired to. Nothing's worse than having to move back and not having any friends. ; (
I'm still alive, and lookin' for bronies! I've recently converted two of my best friends irl, woo-hoo!
Florida bronies. Florida bronies everywhere. Well, actually, a lot less than I would have anticipated. :I Now, I'm more north central Florida, but a two hour drive to go to a meetup is more than what most bronies are graced with. It's nice to know I'm in a mostly brony friendly state. And I'm also surprised DRD hasn't posted yet. Has he left too? :I
I'm still the only brony around my area. I feel like if I'm too open about it I'll get shot. I live in the ghetto dump of Fort Myers, also known as Lehigh Acres. I just say Fort Myers because the 2 connect at a border like 6 miles away. Punta Gorda eh? I hear some guy up there had his house infested with hundreds and hundreds of spiders.
Want to go see Rainbow Rocks on October 1st? SWF Bronies? I'm visiting from Chicago, and fly out on Oct 1st late. However, there is a showing of EG: Rainbow Rocks. Shall we all go?
