He fell silent and Ben gestured with his head. "We should move on. We have a long ways to go until we can rest."
They traveled through darkness for a while. Ben seemed a little depleted of magyckal energy, but after a little bit, his eyes would start to flicker again.
They walked for a long time, luckily without incident. Finally, the gloom lessened, and she would be able to see that the area opened up into a huge cavern. Water trickled along the floor, collecting in a huge pool that looked like a mirror. In the center of the water was a small ruin, barely illuminated by the light.
Puck frowned, shaking his head slowly. "I don't know." Ben was also frowning, but he tilted his head. "I think we're safe here," he said, looking over his shoulder. "We should set up camp."
Puck squinted at Ben. "We should keep going until we get out of the Pass. It's not safe here." Ben hesitated, looking over at the ruin thoughtfully. "I think we'll be okay. There's something about this place..."
Puck frowned and Ben looked around before gesturing to an area off to the side. "There. That'll work for now."
The boys joined her and Puck went and stood by the water, looking out suspiciously. Ben placed a hand on her back. "You alright?"
She gave him a small smile. "So did you." She got down to set up her sleeping space, yawning occasionally.
He looked over at Puck for a moment before kneeling down next to her, helping her. "What happened down the path?"
