She was quiet for the most part, but when she spoke her voice was small and quiet. "It's not too bad, right?"
She nodded slightly, looking hesitant. "I.. I want to know how you feel. What you're thinking. About what happened and you being upset."
She went quiet, facing away from him still. "It's me, right? Does being near me make you uncomfortable? You.. you don't have to stay for my sake," she told him, shuddering slightly. "If I made you unhappy."
He was quiet for a long moment, his fingers working to patch up the wound. “It makes me sad, Calliope. The whole situation makes me really sad,” he said quietly. “I don’t want you to edit your behavior. It’s not you. I just... it makes me sad.”
He rubbed her shoulders gently before lying behind her, his brow furrowed. "I'm sorry I'm not able to..." He hesitated. "You know. Figure it out."
She relaxed under his touch, shifting to face him. "I don't blame you, Ben. I'm sort of figuring it out still."
