The Divide. This is between me and snow. Story: The Divide, a violent land torn apart by quakes and skin-flaying windstorms to the northwest of the Equestrian Wasteland. Once two proud cities that were protected by a nearby military base and a missile base, the city was destroyed by a figure known as the courier who delivered his last package to the cities. The NCR and the Legion wanted these locations to sever each of their supply lines and as territory for their fast expanding empires. Whoever controls the divide controls the undetonated Megaspell missiles underneath the cities. Whoever wins and whoever loses is up to history, and history won’t let go. A mysterious figure serving under one of these flags answered the call and confronted another stranger at the Divide. There, under the Old World flag and the torn skies, the two decided the fate of Equestria.
(I'm basing this guy off of my Courier) A stallion approached the other, he was wearing recon armor that is similar to power armor, only lighter. A tan hood over a large brimmed hat covered his face, and had four weapons across his body, a sniper rifle, an assault rifle, a very powerful magnum pistol, and a large knife. His hooves fell silently dispite the heavy armor he was wearing, "Good day." he said to the other that he was meeting.
(I’m basing my character on my courier as well, he actually looks a lot like me.) “Howdy, nice to see you.” The other unicorn said back. He wore a black sleeveless duster (Look Courier or Ulysses duster on Google images) wore a white bandana had a black pair of aviator glasses that hide his eyes. His ginger mane was combed back and he used an impressive amount of weapons. His weaponry consisted of a Marksman calibrate, a 45 auto pistol, a small sword and a knife. His light brown coat covered with scars from his experience as a lone wanderer, he was in his late 20’s, but had almost a century of combat experience and wisdom ahead of him. “Look at this place…. What a proud mess the NCR and the Legion has both created.” The Unicorn looked at the landscape that they wore about to wander into. There were destroyed skyscrapers, highways and fires all over the place, campfires of the bases the Legion and NCR are currently located, both factions were located at either end of the Divide, but nopony would dare wander into a location known as ‘The Couriers Mile.’ ‘So I take it that you got the same message I have received, it’s from somepony named Ulysses. From what you and me were told, Ulysses threatens to use Megaspells to destroy any form of civilization in the Equestrian Wasteland. He wants an ending to things apparently between us and him.’ The Unicorn responded. ‘I never got your name, who are you exactly?’
"Julius, Julius Trap." Julius replied, "And yes, I got the message." He looked down to his Pipbuck, "Hm, my Pipbuck doesn't seem to reconize this place, it hasn't named anything yet." he murmured as he checked his Pipbuck to make sure everything was okay. "Yep, not recognized." he muttered. "So what exactly are we supposed to be doing?"
“By the looks of things, we have to stop him. If he succeeds, then say goodbye to everything you love and the society that goes with it.” The unicorn said sadly. “My name is Lucifer Anderson by the way.”
"Well, I guess we need to track this guy down then, then I can send a mini-nuke his way." Julius said, referring to the Fat Man in his saddlebag, he only used it in emergencies, such as being heavily outnumbered. Slipping on a pair of Pre-war sunglasses, he looked around, "So, where to first?"
Lucifer leaned back onto a wall and crossed his arms. “I guess we can travel to the NCR camp as civilians, that way we will get some shut eye and some food while they fight the legion. If they say anything about helping them with the fight, just say that we have our own fight.” Lucifer then pointed towards a building located 5 km away. “That place used to be a small bunker, from what I heard there is a small prototype Eyebot in there that could help us. The NCR has no clue how to activate it, good thing that i do."
Julius nodded, "I'm good with electronics as well. Let's get going." (I'm going to lay this out right here: he has great Science, Guns, Medicine, and Sneak, good lockpicking, unarmed, Melee, and okay everything else.)
(Anything weapon related, unarmed, speech, medicine and sneak.) Lucifer and Julius traveled across the Divide until they reached a bunker. They went down the elevator deep into the earth until the door opened to reveal the place full of destroyed sentry bots and a corpse of a ghoul pony who appeared to be a Pre war Equestrian military general. “Wow, I was not expecting that.” Lucifer said in surprise. They traveled further into the bunker until they came to a control room with a eyebot inside. It appeared that the eyebot has been in stasis for a few months in self repair. “That’s him, I’ll release him immediately.” Lucifer went through the terminal that controlled the stasis chamber. It turns out that the Eyebots name was ED-E and has a powerful Arc Reactor to use against enemies. Lucifer opened the chamber and steam came pouring out to reveal ED-E. The robot used many beeps to communicate. “Hello ED-E” Lucifer said as the robot finally rebooted.
(Or forgot that he's between good and great with explosives) Julius looked at the robot that Lucifer had just activated, "Good job." he said plainly, "Let's hurry this up, I want to get this done with."
(I forgot Science.) “I want this done with as much as you do, but we can’t just leave somepony like this Ulysses character alone.” Lucifer said toward Julius, he then turned around to ED-E. “Activate code 7-645-3256” Lucifer said to the eyebolt , the eyebolt then went to a commisonary and zapped it with a bolt of electricity. This opened the commisonary and allowed Lucifer and Julion to take any weapon, armor and ammo they like. “Told you this robot would help.” Lucifer said as he took mountains and mountains of 5.56 rounds.
(Playing the Dead Money DLC right now, talking with God.) JuliUS nodded and approached the commisinary, picking up loads of ammo for his weapons, from 10mm's to a couple mini-nuks for his stored Fat Man. "Anything else?"
(Dead Money drove me INSANE. I spent 3 weeks dying until I finished it, unlike the two days I got from Honest Hearts. Lonesome Road took me a week the first time. *Sigh* Stupid Elijah and his bomb collars.) Lucifer was now loaded with ammo for his weapons and was currently adjusting the sights on his Carbine. He looked at Julius “Nothing right now, but there are a lot more commisonarys around the divide. Let’s get out of here.” Lucifer and Julius walked out of the bunker and into the harsh landscape of the divide as they head towards a NCR camp.
(After a few times of being blown up, I just used the infinite health cheat out of pure frustration. I know, I'm weak.) Julious studied the landscape as they walked towards the NCR camp, the dead wastes of the place. "So, what should we do once we get to the NCR camp? Hell, there's two of us so we could split up and one go the Caesar, the other NCR, and keep contact through our Pipbucks."
(I have the ultimate edition of New Vegas on my PS3, I cant use cheats. You can imagine how frustrating it was.) “Sure thing, we should go get rest at these camps. Then we go after Ulysses.” And with that, Lucifer and Julius left each other to go towards the camps.
Julius arrived late in the evening at the Legion camp, hiding his pistol and knife before approaching the gate guard. "Halt, what brings you to Caesar's camp?" the guard asked. "Oh I just wanted to see what I could do to help around, maybe help stop this place from being blown apart by the megaspells underneath the city ruins." Julius replied. "Well, you will need to go to Caesar for that, and also all visitor's need to turn over any weapons and forbidden items before items." the guard replied. "Of course, as long as I get them back the way I left them." Julius replied, slinging off his sniper, rifle, and taking out his Fat Man and gave them to the guard. "That is all." he lied. "Alright, go on in." the guard replied and Julius entered the camp.
Lucifer arrived at the NCR camp before Sunset. He was fully allowed to bring his weapons into the camp, as long as he did not attack anyone as a result. "Halt. What brings you out here stranger?" The guard said thowards Lucifer "I have busisness with the general here, can you let me through?" Lucifer said to the guard. "Of course sir, general oliver is located in the large main building, cant miss it." the guard said as he let Lucifer through.
Julius found his way through the encampment and to the tent of Caesar, opening the tent flap, he noticed several guards standing around wearing ballistic fists, aka him possibly being punched into a bloody pulp if he did anything stupid. He walked to Caesar who was sitting on a portable throne. "What brings you to my encampment traveler?" he asked. "I came seeking to help you in your little...predicament in this valley, chiefly the NCR and the megaspells." Julius replied. "I can respect that, but you will have to prove yourself worthy of helping my Legion in our fight against the corrupt NCR pigs." Caesar said to Julius, "Stay in the Fort for a little while longer and I will send a messanger with your new assignment." "But wouldn't you be able to explain it better than any messenger?" Julius asked. "Hm, good point, I will have somepony fetch you when I've decided on your trial assignment. Now, leave my presence." Julius nodded and left the tent.
Lucifer walked into general Olivers room like nothing happened, and found a impresive office. The office had a enormous NCR flag on the wall and painting of president kimball, with a surounding of the occasional office desk, computer, radio and chairs. "Hello Lucifer, have a seat and i'll get to you." Lucifer happly took a seat at the desk and the meeting went underway. "Lucifer, you know about the nukes right?" Oliver basicly answered Lucifers question before speaking a word. "Yep....Thats from your scouts isnt it." "Correct, but they are busy fighting the legion at the moment alongside the rest of the NCR army." Oliver said to Lucifer,Lucifer then had a long talk with Oliver. "If you could, we would appreciate your help. We are not forceing you to, but the legion cant get hold of those nukes. "Nether can Ulysses, have you heard of him because he is going to use the nukes and wipe out any form of civlisation in Equestria. So instead of fighting the legion, fight him as well. Your army is large enough to defeat and overun Caesar tonight. Caesar is out of good soliders and supplys so if you can finish this fight tonight, you can fight the enemy that really matters." Olivers eyes opened in surprise of the intelegence of this traveler. "Of Course !! Thank you for your ideas Lucifer. Once Caesar is dealt with, we will stop Ulysees in full force." Lucifer and Oliver both shook hoofs and left each other be. Lucifer then messaged Julius urgently. "Get out of Caesars camp now !"
(Oh, I finished Sierre Madre and started on Lonesome Road. I'm at the part right after you launch the nuke.) Julius looked the message over then looked out of his tent to the surrounding Legion camp, then typed back; If the NCR is about to attack, you better warn them that any report their scouts have made about the strength of Caesar's Legion are highly optimistic. Just from where I am at, I see several artillery pieces, dozens of Caesar's best forces, and that is not even the beginning of it. You might want to warn Oliver that it WILL be a bloodbath, but I will listen to your advice, no need to get tangled up in this fight. After sending the message, Julius got up, collected his equipment after warning Caesar of the impending attack, and left. Though it may have seen strange to an outside observer, it was actually a brilliant move. The longer that Ulyessus' could be convinced that he was under no immediate threat from either Caesar's Legion or the NCR, he would continue to take his time. If he saw an attack was imminent, he would likely hurry his plan.
