She watched him for a moment before turning to the door of the lab. "Where is the captain? I am going to speak to her." * * * He nodded, heading through the door and leaving.
"She will be in her quarters.. I don't know if that's a good idea, though." *** She cleaned up a bit more before returning to her room.
"Why not?" she asked sharply, raising an eyebrow. Stephanie, at that moment, wasn't actually in her quarters. Donning her goggles, she set off down into the engine room, speaking to herself quietly.
"Surely she is not so cruel as to keep me in distress like this," she replied hastily. "Surely she could be reasoned with."
She seemed very upset by this response, her brows furrowing. "But... surely she has basic human decency."
She frowned, opening her mouth to speak before the loudspeaker crackled to life. "Attention. The time is now 2200 hours. Curfew is now active. Patrol, please assume your stations."
He sighed lowly, starting out and leading her to the cargo hold, where Juliet had set everything out.
She followed him, remaining quiet as they returned to the cargo hold. She eyed the cryogenic chamber nervously, her brows furrowed.
He looked over at it with a small frown. "You don't have to sleep in it. I can move the bedding somewhere else."
She shook her head slightly, her shoulders slumped. "If I can live 50 years in it," she said, her voice cracking slightly. "I can live a few more nights."
