"We love each other more than anything." Luna said. "And is true what you said, love can do splendid things." Darky said as he and Luna nuzzled each other, he then turned to Frozen. "Everypony is different someway, don't be ashamed by that. Also, your father might change someday." Darky said afterwards .
"One can hope," he said sadly, "At any rate, my sister Aurora is most probably queen by now. Father was eager to step down as king, and hoped to pass that responsibility to me. When I refused, however, somepony else would have had to take my place. Aurora was the most ambitious of my siblings, so she was probably happy to see me gone! I don't envy her.."
"Hmmm..." Luna was not sure what to say about that. "Well, it kind of makes sense, but she is still your sister, I feel that was too mean." Darky said a bit worried about that.
"Oh.. I meant her no unkindness," He said, "Nor do I hate her. She coveted the throne and was jealous of my age and the fact I was next in line for the throne. I meant simply she probably is glad to be rid of the competition, nothing more."
"Still, you are her brother, is quite mean from her to feel like that." Darky replied. "But there is nothing I can do to change her." He sighed.
"That is what it means to be Windigo," he said, sadly, "She is a fairly typical example of our race."
"Looks like it." Darky said sighing. "Now I understand why you are 'different'" Luna said. "You don't seem like the typical example of one as you say."
"Yes," he said, "But why that is I couldn't tell you. I know that no more than I know why I must feed on other's emotions. We, like Changelings, are creatures of disharmony, but I seem to be a Windigo with a pony's conscience."
Frozen looked at discord, struck with a sudden curiosity from his statement, "Have you any family, discord?"
"Hmm? Oh, no, I don't think so. In fact I'm the only Draconequus around as far as I know." He smiled slightly "Can't say as I'm too upset about it; seems more of an inconvenience than anything. Can you Imagine a group of Draconequusi trying to organize a family meal?"
Rosy covered her mouth with her hoof as she laughed. "I suppose it would be troublesome. Surely you must have had parents, though?" she asked Discord. She had to admit, she hadn't thought much about it, but she'd never heard of another Draconequus other than Discord.
(Uhh...excuse me but can someone explain to me what happened while I was gone?Because I was asleep the entire day on saturday and woke up at 12. and now I just came back from school...)
(Nothing, they are just talking. The only thing that might interest you is that thy will go to the town the next day. That's basically all.)
"One only needs parents if one was born," Discord said, looking at Rosy, "I just sort of am, I'm the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony; I always have been and always will be. At least, If I have anything to say about it..."
"Doesn't that get lonely, though?" asked Rosy, her eyebrows furrowed. "I mean, I know that if I were the only unicorn, I'd wish there were others."
"Lonely?" Discord frowned "I.. well, I suppose I'd never thought of it like that." In truth, Discord had thought about it, but he tried not to any more; he didn't reap Chaos at the expense of others purely because it was his nature, but also, to some extent, as a coping measure. He wasn't incapable of meaningful emotion, he just found it easier to suppress it; Fluttershy was the only one who had managed to start breaking down those barriers.
Rosy sensed that perhaps Discord was not telling the complete truth, but she let it slide. After all, she had her own fair share of secrets she didn't wish to bring up. She changed the subject. "How much do you know about your species?" she asked curiously. (Is it about time for us all to sleep?)
Lio rubbed his hoof to his head again. "Something tells me you're going to need a new disguise Discord. Please tell me you just pushed the statues closer together."
"Well, like I said, as far as I know, we're a species of one, and we're flawless. I could write tomes." Discord informed Rosy, then turned to Lio. "Um, I may have made one or two... improvements to the statues." He chuckled to himself. "Don't worry, nopony saw me. You might be right about the disguise though; magnificent as this form is, it does have it's... drawbacks." he said, trying to shake a twig out of one of the holes in his leg.
