"It seems easy at any rate," said Frozen, "I've studied Alicorn magic for many years, but have never witnessed it first hand."
"Then this is the first time you see it?" Luna said. "And you also studied it? Thats quite interesting." She said as she kept petting Darky. He snuggled her a little as she did that.
"Well, theories and books are one thing," he said, "But I was always fearful of getting too close for fear of being caught." Frozen moved to look out of the window nearby. "To answer your question, though, I have studied the works written on alicorn magic. I have studied every tome written by Starswirl or his associates. I seek out and obtain rare tomes as a hobby."
"But one thing is reading about it an another obe seeing it." Luna said. "Alicorn magic is way stronger than unicorns magic. Even if you are not that skilled with magic, for example my husband..." she stroked his mane gantly. "His magic is still strong amd different." She explained. "To actually understand it you must become one."
"It would be interesting, I have to say say." Luna said after seeing him chuckling "But only normal ponies can become alicorns." She then yawned a little. "Looks like I'm tired... well, I didn't slept that much today." She finallys aid.
"You should rest then," he said, "I have enjoyed meeting the both of you. I will not keep you." Frozen returned his attention to the book on the pedestal, and he opened it woth his magic so that he could read it. "I sleep little," he said.
Luna nodded. "It was quite intersting meeting you." Luna stood up followed by Darky. "Good night everypony." Luna said to the ones that were in there. "Good night." Darky also said, then both left to their room. Once in there, Luna used the circlet to made an alarm clock and programmed it to wake them up an hour before bringing down the moon. After that both laid down on the bed. "I cant sleep..." Darky said since he wasnt tired as her. "I will take care of that." Luna said. She then started singing a bedtime song for him, in a realy beautifule voice. After a while of singing, they both fell asleep.
"We actually don't know. It's not like the Librarian was told we were copying her diary." While book was place for anyone to read it, Kimi wondered how the ghost unicorn would feel if it was copied. "The curtains contain sound in the section they block off, I don't know why I didn't think to put one around the game section, or around the book section to keep noised out." Maybe to reason was he didn't expect the games to get used. He definitely did not expect this many residents.
"Perhaps I will try," Frozen said, "After I meet her I will attempt to summon her here using the book."
"It will have to be tomorrow," Frozen said, "I will have to meet the Librarian so I will know what it is I am summoning."
"Something that I just thought of, would the summoning allow her to travel between the two places or would it change where she was rooted to?" While Kimitsu was more versed in magic than her father ghost were not something she knew much about if anything. Summon creatures such as Brass Demons was one thing, but spirits of those who passed on?
"Possibly the former," he said, "her spirit is anchored to the library and, presumably, her life's work. It is unlikely I can break that hold on her. What will probably occur, is that this facsimile of her diary will make a conduit for her to manifest. She probably won't have the same strength as she does with her true diary."
Rosy couldn't find a book that she was interested in, so she stood up, and stretched. "Well, I'm going to sleep. See you guys in the morning." she said, rubbing her eyes. She walked up to her room, and found the circlet that Leo had told her about, and she placed it on her head. A bed appeared in the corner, with sunflower patterned sheets. She also summoned a bedside table, almost the same color as her hair. She placed the circlet in a drawer on the table. She curled up under the bedsheets, and breathed a small sigh of relief. Tears appeared in her eyes, and she pulled the covers up to her cheekbones. She sniffled, and let the tears roll down her face.
It was still early in the evening, but Lio was read for sleep as well. There was a knock at the house door, he closed eyes to access his exterior camera. It was the Mayor. He quickly looked to see if Discord had turned back to normal. "Discord Until I return do not leave this room! Please!" Usagi closed her eyes and saw what her mommy saw. It was a yellow pony with red hair and orange and grey streaks. The was the town boss. "Mommy are you in trouble?" "I don't know." Lio opened his eyes and left the living room closing the door behind him. He then opened the house door. "Hello Mayor Sunburst? How can I help you?" "The changeling queen attacked the town!" The mayor had herd from a great number of the townsfolk about what happened on the beach. "She defaced the statues of shame. Wigwam is working on one for her, but I was hoping you could used your artifact to restore the other three."
Frozen could feel the sadness emminating from Rosy's room and he sighed. Poor Mare, he thought, she must have suffered greatly. He silently wished he could give kindness and friendship to her, but wasn't even certain his people were capable of such things. Eventually, overcome with fatigue from his studies, Frozen slumped over the stack of tomes on the floor and fell asleep.
Kimitsu raised Frozen Heart off the books. "Usagi can you get door." "Er, mommy is talking to the Mayor." "So long as Discord doesn't go out there it should be fine." "Can we wait a moment?" "Okay." Her levitation spell didn't cause too much of a strain. In fact in this pony form it was even less tiring than in her natural form. Maybe it had something to do with the magical nature of unicorns. Her true form being an imperfect clone of a mazoku perhaps limited her true magical potential. ~~~ He had used the femtites to create a clock for the mayor, so the mayors request wasn't that surprising. "I can, but it will have to wait till tomorrow. Er fix how?" "Color was given to Discord, and Starswirl now rides Celestia. I'd like you to take away Discords color, and give him his original pose. Then separate Celestia and Star Swirl." The mayor turned around and started off. "Thank very much Mr. Lioconvoy." "Your welcome." Lio closed the door and saw a moment later the living room door open. He then saw his 'oldest' carrying out the Windigo. "Is he okay?" "I'm fairly certain he's just asleep. Which room is his?" "777, the room right next door. I'll open it for you with the master key." In a case like this it might have been useful to have a tech based teleportation system. However just like magic teleportation the glass would make his tech teleportaion useless as well. Opening the door for Kimi, she placed Frozen on his canopy bed and then tucked him in. "So father have things gone well?" "Yes, I'd say they have. A few issues here and there, but well enough." After his daughter exited the room he closed and locked the door. "I need some rest. Will you stay up with your sister till for a little bit?" "Sure, I had a nap on the couch while I was waiting for you to bring the residents to the living room."
Rosy woke after a couple hours of sleep. A nightmare had plagued her sleep once again, and her heart pounded as she looked into the dark corners of the room. She placed her hooves to her temples, and took deep breaths. In, and out. In, and out. After a few minutes, she took her hooves away, and got out of the bed. She made the bed, even though it was barely midnight, and started to organize her things. As she worked, she sang to herself, in a hauntingly beautiful voice. It was a melancholy song, about . It wasn't so loud that anyone would notice it, and it wouldn't disturb anyone. She placed the circlet on her head, and a small chest of drawers appeared. "I keep my lonely watch, intent your lightest breath to catch. O, when you wake to see my smile, and thus my sorrow to beguile." she sang softly, as she folded her extra blanket, and placed it in the top drawer. Her bag was mostly full of books, and she placed these in the drawer as well. When she was finished, she pulled on her cloak, and slipped out of her room, intending to go for a walk.
Discord had been only vaguely aware of the events unfolding around him; he had found something truly wondrous amongst the games in the corner of the room, it was a sort of wooden goblet and ball, attached by a piece of string. Trying to get the ball to settle in the cup with his current form's hooves was equal parts addictive, frustrating and satisfying; he was transfixed.
