"Um...no thank you." Shield was fine with the few apples he'd had earlier. "So... I wonder when we'll get to Ponyville..." At that moment, somepony shouted 'ALL ABOARD!!', startling all four of them.
Cherry sat down next to Haze and looked around the car. "I don't know if I like cake, and if it made your tummy hurt, I don't want to find out..." ALL ABOARD!! "Meep!" Cherry squeaked in surprise and jumped a little in her seat. At the mention of Ponyville, their destination and 'jumping off point' of their mission, she started shaking and suddenly felt as if a stone landed in her belly. It didn't hurt, it just felt heavy all of a sudden. She decided to share this feeling with the others. "Hey. I feel funny. Like...like...like when the train's whistle blew the first time. And when we just woke up and didn't know anypony. It's like...cold. And heavy, but empty. Like...I want to run away and back into my bed and curl up as tightly as I can." "Does anypony else feel like that?"
"ALL ABROAD!" "Wah" Dark Shine jumped, hitting his head on the roof of the train."oww.... Now my head and ears hurt...." He thought for a moment. What did that voice mean 'ALL ABROAD' He could only think of it shrieking in his ear... He shuddered
"I think I may have just Over-eaten... Give it a-" "ALL ABOARD!" Haze was startled by this interruption. What did aboard mean then? She looked out the window as the last of the ponies climbed onto the cart. When everypony was on, Haze noticed that the Trees and hills were moving backwards, going out of the view of the window. Unsure of what was happening, she tried to stand up. This was already made difficult by her full-ness, but even more difficult now the train was seemingly shaking. Haze couldn't find her balance, stumbling around a bit. "W-w-what's happening!!?"
As if the loud call a few seconds before hadn't been startling enough, the train now gave a sudden jerk, toppling Shield and several others to the ground. "What the..." he said in surprise, trying to regain his balance.
After a couple of seconds, Haze became accustomed to the shaking of the train. But she was still baffled- What was happening here?Why was everything moving? Or maybe it was just them who was moving? Haze opened a window , and looked outside. There was just about enough space to get part of her head out, and look around. The train was running along those lines that Haze had seen earlier, and it was going towards the tunnel through the hill. She could feel a strong wind against her face, and it felt good. As the train travelled on, the spot in the sky began to fall into place in the centre of the sky. Haze watched as they zoomed past large, strange structures. They seemed to be giant green blobs, all in different shapes, resting on some brown object of some sort. They rustled slightly in the wind. "This place... Is weird."
Note Sheet had sat in the waggon he had entered the entire time. He had been thinking about a lot of things. He still didn't know what exactly they had to do. They had to save Equestria, that was right, but... He had no idea how they were supposed to do it. He neither knew what expected them on their upcoming journey, he didn't know... what to do. It was a strange feeling, a feeling he wasn't able to classify. Was it some kind of fear or nervousness? And... Why did he feel so... funny when he was near Cherry Berry? Questions... Questions... But no answers. "ALL ABOARD!" The shouted words brutally wrenched him from his thougts and made him flinch. Right after that the room he was sitting inside started to shake, and dthe landscape outside of it seemed to move away from the train. Or, no, it just was the train that started moving through the landscape, Note Sheet guessed. After a few seconds of twitchy moves the train stopped shaking and was just slightly concussed a few times. The landscape outside had changed drastically. After the train had left the buildings behind, there were mountains and holes the train passed through. Even though it didn't have too many colours, it was... kind of beautiful. OT: I'll soon start the next step. Whoever doesn't have sent his cutie mark yet, please don't forget to do so
As she watched the scenery pass her by, Cherry Berry looked around the inside of the car at the other ponies' reactions. Haze expressed Cherry's own feeling perfectly: "This place is weird." At least she didn't feel like curling up into a ball anymore. As she glanced around, she suddenly noticed Note Sheet. She could've swore that he was looking at her, but by the time she got a good look at him, he was staring out the window. Was he looking at me, or am I just seeing things? She then returned to a forward-facing position. She was begining to hear the voice again. They'll hate you. The inhabitants of Ponyville. They'll know that you're all there to replace them and they'll hate you. She hung her head and frowned. Will they?
Without having taken his eyes away from the scenery running outside the train, Note Sheet somehow had noticed that an other pony had entered the room, and according to the strange feeling in his belly it had to be... Cherry Berry. Because of a reason Note Sheet actually didn't know, he tried not to look into her eyes, and every time he did anyway, he turned his head away quickly when he noticed that she also was looking at him. But even though he felt nervous, he noticed that Cherry Berry seemend to be... thinking. He needed a while to bring himself to ask her: "Hey, Cherry Berry. What's the matter? You look a little... worried." He had asked her. He really had asked her without stammering. He really was proud of himself.
He hates you, too. He attacked you with orange soda. Cherry quickly shook her head, trying to banish the voice. No he doesn't! He was the first friend I met here! Then, she turned to the green unicorn. She noticed that it seemed like he had a hard time looking into her eyes. "I...well...I think I'm scared. What if Twilight Sparkle doesn't want to be our friend?" Then, she thought for a moment? "Are...are we friends?"
Dark Shine heard Cherry Berry on the other side of the wall. He decided he could help ease her worry. "Dont worry. We are friends and if you need further proof I am here for you!" He smiled gently. "I know that much."
"As am I!" He Increased the size of his smile. "I'd rather share the friendship with those who know as much about themselves as I do about myself!"
Note Sheet was a little surprised by that question, but Dark Shine, who just had come in, answered the question for him. "Of course we're friends!", Note Sheet added. "And I'm sure we'll also become friends with this Twilight Sparkle. I really wonder what she looks like... The princess was a very special pony, she had a horn and wings. Do you think Twilight also is such a pony?" OT: I won't be able to post on Saturday, so just go ahead^^ On Sunday I'll start our first "big adventure"^^
"I cant be sure... Note Sheet was it?" He noticed he was getting side tracked. "Oh sorry! I'm not really sure what this Twilight is like. No offence to the Princess but we did'nt exactly get a description of who to look out for..."
Cherry's smile got a little wider at Note Sheet's response. I was good to know that she had so many friends. At Note's question, she tapped her chin and thought aloud, "Maybe...she sounds pretty special with a name like that!"
"And she seems pretty powerful too. I mean, she's gonna help us save Equestria- She must be quite something." Haze thought for a second. "But... What if she's got this virus thing? What if she's in trouble by the time we get there? There's no known way to get around it yet, is there?"
Dark Shine turned to Haze "We dont know... Yet! We shall get through! Look at it with confidence and the rest will just follow suit!" Dark Shine became shocked. How did he say that? He never said anything like that at all, had he?
Shield smiled a little at Dark Shine's words. He agreed completely, and he was glad that he had said it out loud; whenever Shield said things out loud, it never sounded as good as it had in his head. He was beginning to thing that perhaps it was better if he didn't speak so much. After all, he didn't need to talk to figure things out. He only needed to watch and listen. Yes, he thought. From now on, I'll only talk if I need to. Looking at Note Sheet while he made this mental vow, he was reminded by his horn that he hadn't done anything in regards to testing his theory about "magical powers" yet. He cleared all the previous thoughts from his mind and walked into the adjacent train car, taking care that nopony noticed him. Not that he didn't want to be by them, but if his theory was wrong, he didn't want his pride hurt any more than it already had been when he tripped in front of Haze and Facade. And if it's right, then maybe I can show Note Sheet and the other unicorns how to do it! he thought with joy.
"Confidence alone doesn't do anything. Either she is trouble or she's not, and let's face it- one's more likely than the other... No matter how confident we can be, there's just as much chance she's infected- In which case not all hope is lost of coarse. She's still most likely alive and able to help, and we're able to help her. But there's always a chance. Either way we can still do this, but although confidence will help... It's gonna be tough. Especially in such a strange world... That's my view, anyway."
