[YOUTUBE]zbBMLUyOf5E&NR[/YOUTUBE] www.vbulletin.com/vb5demo/ www.vbulletin.com/features/ For those who don't know, Everypony.com runs on Vbulletin 4 - What do you think of 5? I'm a sucker for things like this, but I'd love to hear everyone elses opinion (and no... this isn't me suggesting an upgrade (I'm not staff remember!)). I'm just interested in web development/software
Supposedly the major selling points are tighter social aspects (better group and blog integration), the ability to comment on individual posts (where appropriate?) and of course cross-device compatibility, which is something even now would be nice. What with tablets and the like it would be good to be able to forget about things like tapatalk or mobile forum skins. I know several vbulletin forums, this one included that don't work too well on my phone <_>
Yeah! We should totally get an upgrade. It looks really cool. I like the fact that you can comment on a thread without posting. Keeps threads from derailing as easily. - - Auto Merge - - Oh yeah, I like the mobile option as well now that you bring it up lol
I'm just hoping that [imgleft] and [imgright] get integrated if we do upgrade. I covet it after my time on Solia.
Spoiler: Like this? Left-AlignedRight-Aligned Regardless, that's implementable on 4x - If the above isn't what you mean make a thread about it in site discussion I also agree with it looking tidier and more sleek... It's very attractive _o:
I liked the music. Anyway, the new aspect sound intriguing. The Image thingy looked handy but I haven't a clue how it's implemented.
No, not aligned. [imgleft] and [imgright] allow for image and "multiple lines of text" to be in the same area. (Basically creates a column just for the picture and leaves the rest with the text.) Anyway... vB5 looks like it'll be far more intensive for my poor computer... but it's nice to see it'll support more devices.
