    In a world where Lord Tirek has absorbed all the old magic of Equestria, Star Swirl the Bearded returns to grant new magic to some of the surviving ponies. These ponies are granted new cutie marks that represent animals and are able to become these animal. They form team called the circle of light and fight to defeat Lord Tirek.
