In an alternative timeline, the cult that ended normal life in Equestria never existed, therefore ponies could continue their average lives. Technology has been rapidly advancing, not for war, but for quality of life. Robots, enormous towers, a multitude of communication devices, and holograms are only a few examples. (Might as well start) Firebreeze sat in ponyville's town square. He looked to the towering town hall, it was a sight for sore eyes. Ponyville had a lot of technological upgrades lately, with all the the holograms and such. Yet, ponyville's upgrades were nothing compared to what Canterlot or Fillydelphia. Fire wasn't too fond of a few of the upgrades, but he got over it quickly.
(Mind if I change this to a Dark-centered one? I'll go edit my sheet later) Dark lead four other soldiers through Ponyville, one of the smaller part of the advancements had strangely been in military. The Guard and other military branches where now at least twice their size before the upgrades, dispite their role as mainly a police force. After about an hour of marching through the streets, she motioned for them to go on individual patrols. Dark went to a nearby diner and dispite the glances she would get, she stayed. She was used to the sideways looks that she and her fellow Guardponies would get. Many thought that the increased size and patrols were unnecessary, but it was one of the reasons many of the major cities had almost flat crime rates. Though she did think patrols of the smaller towns such as Ponyville were mostly pointless, they didn't have many guards stationed at the town, maybe ten at most.
Firebreeze had become bored and decided to put on a little show. He ran over to town hall and began to run up it's right wall, using his wings to stay on the side. His fire trail brightened up the side of the building, which brought some attention. Fire was soon near the top of the building and he pushed off and did a backflip before going into free fall. He fell like a meteor towards the Earth, and when he neared the ground, Fire spread his wings and safetly glided to the ground. The ponies around him clapped for a few moments and then went back to work.
(Please, don't post too much tonight... I dunno how to introduce in this Rp, and it's too late for me to reply (11pm, have to work at 6am) so please spare me a 5-pages surprise tomorrow morning, guys...)
(We won't, as I have to work late myself so please don't surprise me either!) Sakura had been watering flowers in her flower shop where the Guardponies and the little show that Firebreeze had put on. She smiled, bemused with the feat and began to hum a tune, making the flowers sprout their buds and open. She nudged a few with her nose, focusing in on one tune to force a bud open. Feeling pleased, she flipped the open sign on her shop door and trotted in over to her counter. Upon it lay her open book, as she skimmed through the pages, reading up on some of the rarer plants she might sell. Business had been slow for quite some time, with the new technological advancements and all. Though they allowed her to use a rather cheap greenhouse behind her shop, it still didn't compare to the holograms that could display flowers and plants that never wilted, and even could be changed whenever the owner wanted it changed. "This is slightly daunting," she murmured, but washed away her brief sorrow in her book, humming.
Dark finished her lunch and started walking back down the street when she saw a lonesome flowershop. "Might as well, it's been awhile since I've last seen a real flower. She nudged open the door and walked in, "Hello!" she said to the pony behind the counter.
Fire was pleased with his performance and flew back up into the air, where he saw multiple aircraft, like hover-cars, flycycles, and heli-platforms. Performing tricks had become increasingly difficult for Fire to do ever since the sky became more populated. There were even 'rules of flying'! Firebreeze decided to go practice over the everfree forest, knowing no traffics goes through there.
(Thanks guys, i had to study a lot. I have to know all the countries of the world for next week... And most of the exams i did weren't the ministerial ones yet. Only 'preparation exams' wich counts for almost nothing. Useless exams, in other words.) Ashes was sitting on the grass, in the park. He was bored, but the sun was heating his coat, and the soft breeze, refreshing. He was in that park for nearly an hour, and he wanted to walk, but where could he go? He had already walked in most places of ponyville, so only a few streets were still mysterious for him. He could walk, but as soon as he stood up, his ashes got pulled by the wind, and he decided to follow them. Maybe they'll lead him to something amazing, like... A treasure! He turned in ashes, and let the wind take him to it's will, anywere possible.
Sakura watched the Guardpony come towards her. She backed away slightly, surprised a Guardpony would even want to come to her lowly shop. "H-hello, ma'am. Welcome to Berry's Boutique. We have a special on all flora and fauna from the tropical regions of Equestria. Is there anything you wish to inquire about?" Sakura closed the book with her hoof and walked from behind the counter, motioning to the walls lined with tropical flowers, plants and small trees.
Ecliptic entered the massive building and clocked into work. He walked over to an elevator, scanned his eye to open it, and stepped inside. "Good Morning, Ecliptic. Would you like some coff~" The computerized voice cut off with a burst of static. "Never going to fix this, are they?" Ecliptic thought to himself. "Still, it's hard to believe that this used to be cutting edge AI. Nothing compared to what we're doing now." In absence of the voice, some music played in the background, and Ecliptic mentally prepared himself for an "exciting" day at work.
Dark gazed at the plants, "They are very nice." she said taking off her helmet. "Tell me, have you heard of a special flower by the name of White Hope?"
The wind took Ashes to a flower shop, and he found a little shadowy street to return in 'pony' form. He exited the alley, and walked up to some ponies talking outside. ''Hi, ponies.''
Dark turned to the newcomer, instinctly keeping her back away from the others, "Well hello, who might you be?" suddenly Dark's arm brace beeped, she brought it up and a little screen popped up. After some discrit murmuring, Dark sighed and slid her helmet back on, "It appears I am needed." she said. She left the shop and grabbed onto a seemingly floating ladder. When she got a grip of it, it suddenly retracted as she was drawn up into the Guard hovercraft, and it sped off silently.
Ashes followed by sight the pony who just left, wondering what can he say or do. "Humm... I... Want to buy some flowers...?"
Firebreeze flew through the everfree forest, enjoying the only place untouched by technology. He often went to fly and sometimes even to pick fights with some of the creatures in the forest. Sometimes he wished things were simple again. He was flying over the canopy of the forest and was suddenly hit by what seemed to be smoke. Fire was knocked to the ground, but quickly stood back up and went to go face the foe. He flew up to see the smoke again, but this time Fire noticed its glowing red eye. The monster laughed and hit Breeze in the jaw with an extension of smoke from its body. Fire stretched his jaw a bit before charging right at the monster. Then, it suddenly vanished. "Son of a-!" Fire yelled out. The laughs of the creature echoed through the everfree. Firebreeze growled and began to head back to Ponyville to tell other ponies this odd experience.
Dark sat on the troop bench, where at least fifty others sat. She gulped, they were going on an acual combat mission! There has been reports of newly founded pony nations around Equestria, and the royalty wanted to use it as an oppurtunty to flex Equestria's military poweress. Dark checked her rifle's charge and then plugged her armor into the power jack to make sure it was fully charged.
Fire returned to ponyville and immediately went to tell Rex about the fight. Rex was confused by the story, but was mainly annoyed at Fire for, once again, interrupting his work. Rex simply told Fire to go to the library and hope to find something about the monster. Firebreeze jumped out the window he flew into and began to fly towards the library.
"N-nevermind. Nice day..." Ashes went away from the flower shop, and hurried to turn in ashes to fly away. He felt something from the forest, like if something had explode in his heart. He went to the forest, and turned back in a pony form at the entrance. He took a deep breath and entered in the forest's darkness.
The back door of the hovercraft opened to reveal a pretty good sized battle going on a flat plain. "Let's go!" Dark yelled, and the company ran out, and the hovercraft just barely managed to get away. With artillery shells flying and bursting and bullets and energy shots wizzing about, Dark lead her company into a small sieres of foxholes. "What now mam'!" a soldier yelled into his intercom, "Keep firing and keep hidden and dig in! I will tell you further orders later!"
