She was still in place next to him, turned on her side and her head on his shoulder. She felt quite warm, though, with the combination of the cuddling and the weather and Zerras’ skin.
She stirred a little, her arms resting across his waist protectively. The water lapped around their feet. Her hair was dry and quite messy, and there was a smear of sand across her cheek.
She moved, stretching out in the sand, lying on her back. “How long were we asleep?” she asked, her eyes fluttering closed again.
She reached out, her fingers brushing his calf as she sat up, blinking sleepily. She rested her head against his thigh, closing her eyes again. ”That’s not too long.”
She let go of him, nodding a little. “Okay,” she murmured, leaning forward and brushing her fingers through the water. “Be safe...”
She laid in the shallow water, curling up slightly as the water washed over her, her shoulders relaxing.
