She murmured, turning a little before realizing her head was on his lap. She sat up suddenly and then swayed a little, having moved too quickly. “Z...?”
“I’m so sorry,” she said apologetically. “I didn’t mean to.” She gestured to his lap, still half-asleep.
She hesitated, nodding blearily as she pulled the cloak tighter around herself. “Yes. How long did I sleep?”
"A couple hours, I think," he said, grabbing her now dry pink cloak and offering it to her. "I'll give you some time to wake up."
She looked up at him, frowning. “Why are you so good to me, Zerras?” she asked after a moment, her voice bleary from sleep as she pulled the cloak around herself.
She was looking up at him, her face soft. “You make sure I eat. You keep me warm even though it makes you uncomfortable. You let me sleep even though you have a mission, and then comfort me when I worry about it.”
He squinted at her, looking a little confused. "So? Am I supposed to leave you behind or let you freeze to death?"
“No,” she said hastily, shaking her head. “That’s not what I mean, but... I mean, you could have saved my life and been a lot meaner about it, you know?” She pulled her cloak tighter around herself, looking embarrassed. “Just forget it.”
He frowned slightly, standing up and getting everything together. "Put both cloaks on. There's a lot of snow out there."
