I was born and raised here in the northwest. Spent last summer working in Yosemite National park, and have spent a couple weeks in Oklahoma. I don't know if I could happily move away long term. You get spoiled on scenery out here, haha. There's also the fact that Portland is the first and only place that has ever felt like home.
@Cloudy bounce- I was actually born in Anchorage Alaska moved somewhere near Tyler Texas and then moved to a small town outside of Roseburg.
Ahh, that's somewhere between Medford and Eugene, isn't it? I'd say that's about 4 hours south of me or so. Other side of the state, anyway lol. At least you're on the right end. West > East. My moving history is more boring lol. Born in Kelso, Washington. Moved to Portland after I graduated high school. Moved back to Kelso a year or so later. Moved down to California a year or so later. Moved back to Kelso and that's where I am now.
Here is a video of me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjmFvX4X1zc I don't know how I managed to ramble on for so long. I'm kind of moving around a bit, so maybe I was a little bit nervous. I said I wasn't in the video, but it kind of looks like I am. I for some reason just cannot embed the video, sorry.
I would post one without sunglasses on but to look into my eyes might drive some of you slightly insane.
