It could very well be caused by parasprites seeing the sudden rise of them on EquestriaDaily. Thus I say:

    "Everypony calm down!"

well, knowing possible consequences of this (beside substantial amount of people on thepiratebay), I've sent couple mails (actually just one) trying to ensure safety of everybrony. I'll probably get my reply tomorrow (or soon), but I have given my best to ensure brony safety. I know they are reasonable people.

Relax guys, they aren't taking down ALL of the episodes. The same thing happened to MAST3RLINKX back around....March, I think, but he just re-uploaded them after they did that. I'm literally going through his uploaded episodes and none say anything about it being taken down.

While this is just an inconvenience for Americans, it can and will be a disaster for people abroad who have no legal access to American TV footage whatsoever. For us German bronies, for example, YouTube is currently the only source for MLP:FiM at all. Sure, the show will come to German TV next month, but that will be the German dub which is dreaded already now. And even if MLP:FiM will be released on DVD, that doesn't mean that it will be released outside Region 1, and not everypony has got a codefree DVD player. Might pretty well be that either Hasbro USA doesn't plan on exporting the DVDs altogether or Hasbro's European dependancies aren't interested in selling stuff they can't put on toy shelves (mind you that at least Hasbro Germany has still not understood what MLP:FiM is about, namely characters and stories and quality animation as opposed to 22-minute toy commercials, let alone who is actually watching the show).

On a related note, if Hasbro—having been more than tolerant with bronies so far—is really behind all this and goes as far as cracking down on PMVs, we'd better save them as in download from YouTube as many as we can. I don't want to see half of the PMV makers, when asked whether they can upload their stuff elsewhere, say, "Dang, I deleted my local copies after I uploaded my vids to YouTube, lack of HDD space and all."

Yeah, I have the sneaky suspicion that it's just haters flagging random channels, as mentioned by EqD. I can understand if Hasbro really is behind it. It is their content, after all, but I don't think it's really advantageous for them to do so. As some have already mentioned, it's thanks to those episodes being available on YouTube that most of us are even able to watch the show at all. I get The Hub here, and on certain days MLP:FiM is on three times; 8:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM. I also have Xfinity On Demand, where they typically have about 4 episodes available at any given time to watch for free. However, I never even knew I had this channel until I found out about MLP:FiM. I just found it by dumb luck when channel surfing (It's channel 130 here). So, if they really do choose to take them down, that could potentially have some negative ramifications.

As of right now, it looks like only one channel is effected, as far as I can see. Plus there are plenty of other ones where full episodes are still available to watch, and I'm sure, just like any other time, if some are removed, there will be another YouTube member to upload them again. So I wouldn't worry about it too much right now.

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the PMVs. It's essentially free advertising for them, and to the best of my knowledge, they appreciate the fan-made works. I actually made a music video to a show I used to be a fan of a long time ago, and they didn't take it town, but instead just put a tag underneath that said "Contains content from: [Company Name]." So I can see that happening, only it'd be something like "Contains content from: Hasbro, Inc." if that hasn't been done to some of them already.

Also, just a thought, and I could be totally wrong, but I'm not so sure it's a good idea mentioning downloading the episodes on here. I know in the forum rules it says you're not supposed to discuss that kind of thing specifically in the RP chat and EPR, but just in case it applies to the forum as well. *Hint* *Hint*

Apparently some wild bronies went berserk on 4chan and started posting Pony threads all over the place, prompting bans for those members and an attack on MLP sites, including Youtube channels dedicated to the series.

Hasbro has been very cool with the brony fandom to this point, so if they're going to start removing episodes from Youtube then they'll issue an update on their Facebook page themselves and not via the comments section like where the original response came from.

Just calm down and wait for the bros to go back to their Xbox 360s and gore gifs and everything will go back to normal.

Us = A civilised group of loving fans of the show.
Them = Spammers jumping on a meme bandwagon.

    They, are not above anything.

Anyway, having YouTube videos up is advantageous to Hasbro, and they know that even with the videos up, people will buy the DVD and merchandise, supporting the brand in any way they can. It's just haters hating, which they tend to do.

Well, remember. Most of the time, the worst case scenario does not happen.
One worst case scenario that was believed by a lot but proved wrong was the May 21st crap (no religious discussion is meant to be provoked). Another is how I admitted bronyism to a friend recently and he didn't say anything mean at all, opossed to his usual "DONT TOUCH MY ARM EWW GAAAY HE'S GAAAAY".

So, don't get too twisted into a knot.

in my case it happened, recently i got attacked in the front of a bank, and i mean attacked, i was using a Rainbow Dash shirt and three mindless gorilas ran at me yelling "teach the queer how to be a man!", they got all around me, pushed me until i feel on the ground and kicked me until the guard of the bank gone out and stopped them the results were a few bruises and two stitches in the back of my head. And why? because i was wearing a Rainbow Dash shirt and they thoght i was gay!
im trying to understand what happens on their heads but nothing make sense...
now i have a personal issue against hatters, but im trying to love and tolerate.

This is bad. I may not know how this whole thing works, but couldn't Hasbro just create their own Youtube Channel for MLPFiM and make money off a partnership. Rather then anger their fanbase. Provided they are responsible. Sethisto said he believes this is another troll attack, just like what's happened twice before.

If this is really happening though, and especially if they take down PMVs and stuff it could basically kill the fanbase. I do not think Hasbro would be that stupid. I mean bronies are buying their toys.

But if PMVs start getting taken down...... well...... fanfiction....... but. Okay if you are really doing this Hasbro you may lose many fans, If I can't upload PMVs anymore, then what is the point of seeing MLPFiM as anything more then a good show I can pirate like any other show I enjoy anymore.

I really hope this is just a troll, if it is a troll I am on the very edge of my capability to love and tolerate him.
