Sleeping Olympics

If they existed I would be in them. But more to the point, I think I'm beginning to develop a slight hatred of them over here. You see, my parents love the olympics, or at least my mother really does. That means they're getting up early and staying up late to watch the olympics. The problem with this? I'm a light sleeper and the TV is in the room right next to my bedroom. The problem isn't the volume of the TV either, they often turn it down enough that I don't get bothered by it.
The problem is that while they're watching the olympics, they seem to sometimes forget that other people exist in the house, and I'll get woken up by my mother screaming at the TV for one of our atheletes to go faster. I've tried asking them to quieten down, but then i get the whole "The Olympics happens only once every 4 years, and you should watch the hard working athletes too".
As a result my brain is a total train wreck and i've had a number of instances when I've fallen asleep in class. Fortunately it will be over soon, but until then I can pretty much say goodbye to being able to think straight.
This was a sleep-deprived Caberea, saying uuuuuuuuuuuh-*Falls asleep*.
