He smirked and his eyes sparked. His grip tightened and Ben stood between them. "Alright, folks. Play fair. Three... two.... one."
Within a matter of seconds, Puck's hand was forced to the ground. His eyes widened and Ben started cheering, laughing deeply. "That's my girl!"
Cal's eyes widened as well, as if she didn't expect it. A slow grin crossed her face and she laughed out loud, raising her arms. "I did it!"
Puck glowered, straightening up. "I was going easy on you." Ben planted a kiss on Calliope's head, but his head snapped up. "Oh yeah? Go ahead, Cal. Don't go easy on her this time, Puck." He glanced down at her. "Yeah?"
It took longer this time, but after about a minute, his hand fell and he blinked, looking genuinely surprised.
She was grinning at him, her expression warm and affectionate as she laughed, and it was almost like old times. "I never thought I'd be able to win against you! It was probably just luck on my side."
"I mean, you did do it twice," Ben said slyly. Puck glowered again, but there was amusement to his gaze. "How long did it take you to learn?"
