“I was asleep,” she replied in embarrassment. “Plus, it’s different now that we’re dating. It means something.”
She gave him a little smile. “Well, it’s a mistake when you’re not dating,” she replied quietly. “It’s often not a mistake when you are.”
She leaned over and kissed him gently. “Yeah, a little. It’s like...” She hesitated, considering him, her hands on his knees. “It’s like the intent could be there, you know? Like, I obviously think you’re super attractive, and I could be asking for it, whereas before, it was very unlikely that I’d be asking for it, you know? It depends on the person. That’s why it’s different if I do it than if you do it.”
“Well, elves rarely have accidents,” she replied quietly, her hand to her head. She was still flushing a little, frowning at the fire. “I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry.”
Her head jerked up and she was now studying him curiously, her head tilted. “Did you want it to be an accident?”
She blushed, clearly unable to hide her feelings for too long as she considered him, her ears falling a little as the tips turned pink. “I asked second.”
Her blushing went nuclear, and she kissed him back, her face that soft pink as her hand came up to cup his jaw.
