“Because...” She trailed off before shaking her head. “Because you shouldn’t be doing such hard work. That’s not why I brought you back with me.”
She was silent before her head tilted slightly and she changed her demeanor, standing on her toes and whispering in his ear. “Well, sometimes we don’t always get what we want,” she replied softly, taking his hands and placing them on her waist playfully.
She frowned, shaking her head. “If we both work at the same time, we can get more done,” she reasoned.
“Right, but I thought you’d let me go first and then I could distract you so you wouldn’t take your turn,” she replied, positioning herself at the end of the row. “At least this way I can minimize the time you spend working.”
