The movie premiered and I guess everypony watched it already. There's a lot to talk about. I for starters think it was way better than expected. Liked most of the songs (which didn't happen with the 2017's movie), enjoyed the plot and I gotta point out I prefered how they didn't just put a villain to take the blame. We had no actual villains, just ponies doing wrongs that most of them thought were rights in an attempt to do what they could to protect their own. Who wants to discuss the movie?
So, do we we spoiler literally every post, or just assume that folks reading the thread have already seen it? I enjoyed the movie, but Spoiler it kinda bugs me that nothing the Mane Six fought for had any long term impact. Ponies ended up divided, living in fear, without magic. I really want to know what happened, because it was clearly apocalyptic.
It's a thread specifically for the movie and it's been out a week already, no spoilers needed says I. Read further at your own peril! And yeah, I was wondering what happened to the Windigos. Shouldn't they be running rampant everywhere?
Oh yeah, I get you. But it also is the cool part! It means something big happened and several years (maybe thousands of years) went by between g4 and g5. It gives sort of a mythical air to FiM. I like how g5 ponies have to rediscover the things we once discovered along with the mane6. I guess we can relate with the g5 ponies as we once discovered equestria ourselves. I wonder what happened to the crystal empire too. Will they retcon it out of the generation? Or will they bond once again? Think about it, the crystal empire itself had been "lost" for hundreds of years in FiM until it came back with Sombra. If these ponies moved to the 3 cities, what happened to the rest of equestria? The movie itself showed us several virgin lands as the ponies traveled. And that's just a little bit of the entire land. I wonder if there are more settlements that lost communication. Do you guys think those 3 cities all that is left of ponykind? Yeah, I thought so too. It was the unity of ponies of all races what held windigos away. Maybe they were exterminated at some point and present no treat anymore? Those are things the new writers should keep in mind for the upcomming show.

Yep. Though I think we all mostly expect that at this point. No one said you had to watch it~ I merely posted it for anyone interested. I really cannot say too much myself, since I didn't watch the movie. But this video was in my subscriptions feed. So... yeah. I figured to share.
