Yep. Fun fact, he was the first of only 3 drivers to win a Cup championship driving a Pontiac the entire season. The other 2 are Bobby Labonte (2000) and Tony Stewart (2002). Sad that they pulled out of NASCAR after 2003 and even more sad that they don't make Pontiacs at all anymore.
Generally when I think of Pontiac, I tend to think more of the old Silverdome than I do the cars associated with the name.
SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! See Gravedigger and Bigfoot battle it out in a fight to the death in MONSTER TRUCK MADNESS AT THE SILVERDOME! That's what The Silverdome reminds me of...
I used to go with my stepdad to the Greensboro Coliseum when I was little. Even though the racing there is literally just one jump and done, I loved it.
Dragonbait was surprisingly spot on. There were commercials in the 90s for events at the Silverdome that sounded just like that.
Even House M.D. loves monster trucks. I don't remember a whole lot else about that show... Except maybe that everyone on it was pretty much a jerk?
Shifting gears, I made a new D&D character. She's a yuan-ti pureblood warlock named Gangrel. Gangrel was born into the Thornscale clan. At age 14, she began questioning her parents about the corrupt leadership of the chief; a powerful warlock named Valkoran. She was told to never speak her views to anyone. Gangrel had an aptitude for magic and made a pact with a celestial. Pacts with any non-fiend patrons were strictly forbidden. Gangrel confided in her best friend, with whom she thought she shared views. However, she was soon betrayed. Since she was not old enough to be considered an adult, Gangrel's parents were sentenced to execution. However, Gangrel was able to negotiate for her parents to live. She was branded on her left forearm with the word "neban" (Draconic for traitor) and sent into exile while her parents were imprisoned. She vows to one day free her parents and end the corruption that has played her people. ---- Also, it's a lot of fun designing a character in Hero Forge and seeing what I can do with it in FaceApp.
Got an unexpected scare yesterday. Took a cup out of the cupboard, went to wash it out like I usually do before drinking anything, and discovered the hard way that there'd been a large spider hanging out in it.
