Never heard of pyramid but I've heard of spider. On a similar note, I played a lot of Space Cadet Pinball. I actually got it on Steam about a year ago.
I've played Spider a few times, sure, though I'm not good enough to play it on anything other than the easiest settings. Also Pyramid, but that's a comparatively more recent endeavor for me. And wait, what? Space Cadet Pinball's on Steam? ...Huh. (EDIT) Or was on Steam. I'm not seeing it available.
Hmm, maybe I just found it on Google. Found another download for it so that might be where I got it. I get mixed up pretty easily sometimes. https://3d-pinball-space-cadet.en.softonic.com/
I can play Spider on medium, it's when you add in the second color on Hard that I can't beat. Pyramid, Tripeak and Spider were all new to me, about a year ago or so. Free Cell and Klondike(classic) are still what I'm best at.
Get Smart was another one of those shows I grew up with. At 4 years old I didn't understand much of the humor, though.
I didn't watch it till I was an adult myself. I watched Inspector Gadget when I was a kid. Smart's original actor was also the original voice of Gadget.
Yeah, I realized that years after the fact. At that point in my life, I wasn't paying a lot of attention to whether voices sounded similar or not. ()^_^
I never realize when a live actor does a voice for an animated role. It's like I recognize the voice, but I never put the pieces together until someone else tells me.
I didn't learn about Mark Hamill being the voice of the Joker until I was in my 20s. Same with James Avery as the Shredder. Of course, in Don Adams' case, he wasn't altering his voice.
Interestingly enough I was about to recognize all of the Star Trek actors in Gargoyles. The reverse wasn't true when the voice actress for Eliza was in Eureka. I didn't find out till I was checking to see if the actress playing Tel'c's wife was Alison Blake that I found out she was also Eliza. Some names may be mispelled.
Elisa, actually. Bit of an amusing allusion at the end of Star Trek Generations. In the final scene of the movie, Riker says to Picard: "Speak for yourself, Sir. I plan to live forever." Now, what character did Jonathan Frakes play in Gargoyles, and what did said character want so badly?
My guess would be that he planned on living forever. Also, didn't they draw him to look exactly like Jonathan Frakes? Beard and all?
I wish Picard season 1&2 would have been more like season 3. I heard they wanted it to be less "Star Trek-y" but that was the exact opposite of what we wanted. It should have taken 2 episodes to notice, not 2 seasons.
I've never been much of a Trekkie. Mom's more into the franchise than I am, but she thoroughly despises the more recent Star Trek series, Picard included.
I am on board with your mom. The old ones are about exploring space, finding new life, resolving issues, solving problems. It seems the new series are all about just blowing up everything with large explosions, in space.
