How many Fast & Furious movies did they end up making? I never watched any, I just know the one guy died in a real life car accident and Vin Diesel in them is a meme machine.
Ten? How do you gets plots for ten movies about modified street race cars with the mostly same cast in all of them?
I haven't seen any of the newer ones but I'd probably guess there isn't a lot of writing going on. It's probably just there to bridge the car set pieces if you ask me
Yeah, I'm surprised I made it as far as I did. There's a parody called Super Fast and it's kinda dumb but it totally nails a lot of the stupid tropes the series has fallen victim to.
I only ever saw the initial movie, I think it was? Never saw anything after that. I don't think I looked either...
Same. Just now did a little research. Looks like the whole series lasted just over a year with 27 episodes altogether. I knew G4 was going to be a hard act to follow but damn. The franchise truly caught lightning in a bottle with FiM but it doesn't seem like G5 even had a drizzle.
It sounded like instead of continuing the world of G4 they destroyed it and didn't even give a reasonable explanation as to why. They even made Twilight a bad guy in a way. Why did they think that would work? I see g4 merch all the time, but rarely g5
I don't know why but they really rushed everything for the movie too. You don't even get to know Sunny for very long before she gets alicorn powers pretty much. A lot of people ripped on Twilight getting her wings at the time but at least it felt more earned.
G4 had Lauren Faust to start - How can I make a My Little Pony that people will love and connect with? G5 had the people after her - How can we sell more toys?
You'd think they'd notice their sales under the old philophy and just do their best to continue that.
Quality is so rare in film and TV these days. I mean, MLP wasn't a new idea but what Lauren Faust brought to it was new and fresh. There's just not many creators out there that bring that much passion to properties like that.
I never really watched much of G5 (despite wanting to at some point), so I can't honestly say that I have any thoughts on the topic.
Yeah, I only saw the movie and, while I thought it was ok, it didn't grab my attention the way G4 did when I started watching in 2012.
The movie was absolutely okay. Though thinking about it makes me realize that its cast was pretty much reskins of the Mane 6 for the most part. Hitch probably had the most unique personality.
