i heard of the fandom on the internet eventually i gave it a chance dropped it too soon(literally like 5 minutes into the first episode) tried it again like a month later and that time it hooked me now here i am
I remember hearing about the show somehow but ignored it until July 09, 2011 then I turned on t.v. and Party of One happened to be on, I watched it and even though I didn't know what a Brony was until two to three days later I became one instantly.
Why did I become a brony? The show was awesome and everyone was so nice to each other. Why am I still a brony? I have no idea. The community sucks now since the teenage wannabes came flooding in. Then again, this is 90% based on facebook.
They made an ensemble cast which is very very different from each other and let the show be about them and how they interact without forcing the usual and tired will they won’t they or infatuation tropes.
I can't honestly claim to be one myself. To me, that term implies a certain enjoyment of the series that goes beyond just casual observation, and I don't feel that I have that. I just tend to gravitate towards stuff that I find either funny or cool, and the series has a decent share of those moments. That's pretty much it. (Also means that something like 80% of the series I haven't really watched, but eh. ()^_^ )
