So, G5's show was broken into 2 discrete parts: the 2D one and the 3D one, which had parallel but separate stories. The 2D one wasn't bad, but I simply wasn't able to stomach the 3D one. As an unrelated aside, EqD is still following Wild Manes, so that's another bit of related media
Going by appearances alone, I think I'm most partial to Hitch. Anyone who likes animals is okay in my book. Without having watched anything, I don't have any opinions stronger than that.
Honestly, for the past several months I've been hooked on these. The flavor is amazing!! Slim Jims are good but these are in a different league.
In all fairness, Sunset was meant to be a spinoff character like the vast bulk of EqG's cast. And since spinoffs are by and large separate from the works they're spun from, the fact that she only made physical appearances in Equestria in a few specials shouldn't be too much of a surprise. So speaking for myself: I'm perfectly okay with the fact that she never showed up in the show proper aside from the finale.
But you want to see the spin-off and the show they spun off of interact. Even Transformer did it better. Rescue Bot would have Optimus and Bumble from Prime show up, and then Blur showed up in RID. You in general, not you you.
Actually, I wouldn't have cared one way or the other. Because I'm Curtis Wildcat, and that's how I roll. >^_^< If others want to see them interact, that's their business. When it comes to topics like this, I'm more about thinking logically than I am about letting my personal opinions rule me. That way lies disaster. On a related note, it's in part why I make it a point to get all of my facts straight when I write fanfiction. Few things leave a sour taste in my mouth more than writing something that I think is good, only to find out later that I was drastically in the wrong. It's one of the main reasons why I stopped writing the story that led me to Fukufics to begin with. More on that in the Author's Notes of my final chapter here if you're interested.
