I never let myself get fully immersed in the fanbase. I just wanted to deal with things on my own time, and the show on its own merits. I got in at around the start of Season 5, about a year (give or take) after the whole controversy with Twilight becoming feather-brained, but I never really dwelt on any of it. Minor things like that are, in my experience, incredibly silly things to get worked up over. Ditto with everything else that people found negative about that time period.
I was never really a fan of the show. Certain characters I liked, but the show in general wasn't my cup of tea. The whole reason I joined this site was for the Role playing.
I was a pretty hardcore fan of the show back in the day. Used to be a lot more active in the fandom spaces too. Granted fandom spaces used to be more than just discord and reddit. I'd probably say MLP was one of the last things that got to enjoy individual community spaces
Kind of makes me miss the times when I was more heavily into the Samurai Pizza Cats, thinking about it. Edited on 8-26-2026 at 12:44p.m.: - I've given in and started using ChatGPT for image generation; I'd used the basic package for a few days, I got an offer to try a higher tier for a month for free, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm not going to be posting anything at DeviantArt or what have you, but I'll occasionally toss an image or two that I particularly like here.
Why don't you want to post them on Deviant Art? Did it ask for card information. I'm always wary of free trials because they tend to auto charge you when the trial is done rather than ask if you want to continue.
Because I don't want to. All the reason I need, Popebot. >^_^< The key phrase in that second sentence is "tend to". When the website made the offer, it was made clear off the bat that it would notify me ahead of time when the automatic payments would kick in, and I can opt out of the subscription at any time before that point if I want to save my money.
