When Twilight said that she needed to learn from someone who was great at magic, I was hoping for some Luna. But I was fine with Zecora too. But now I want to know about zebra magic. They don't seem to have horns, so how do they do it? I'd like to see an episode which starts to explain this.
You know that's a good question I didn't think about that when I watched the episode but yeah now that you mention it I wonder how zebras like Zecora are able to use magic. I hope they cover that idea in a future episode.
Oh Celestia, that episode! There was so much to call awesome that I don't even know where to begin to start! The thing that stuck out the most to me, however, was when Twilight said that she could turn a mare into a stallion; HASBRO, NO! I felt the pens and pencils of every fanfic writer move at once there! Thank god for that twist ending!
I know how you feel, if it wasn't for being the wrong shade of color, Windy would've been canon in Hurricane Fluttershy. I still can't get over Saddle Arabia....
So Trixie and Twilight made up in the end. 'Tis good ta know Trixie's not so bad a pony! Now, we just need a Gilda episode....
I saw a character that mildly resembled my OC in "The Sonic Rainboom." inb4DiamondTiararedemptionepisode
Not Gonna Happen, Diamond Tiara has been in what at least what 8 or so episodes, never once has she grown or developed as a character, she is a one dimensional jerk who bullies others for sport/fun. SHE WILL NEVER BE REDEEMED! NEVER I SAY! The only reason Babs worked is because she was a victem who became a bully, and heck she's part of the Apple Family, we knew she wasn't bad at heart, the only reason Trixie worked is we had only seen her once before, we didn't really know that much about her, so her getting some minor form of the redemption at the end still worked. Gilda she could be redeemed as she was a childhood friend of RD, so it makes sense they would want to patch things up. But as for Diamond Tiara, there is no redeeming her, she is forever a little brat! IMO anywho.
Well, who's to say DT doesn't have a bad relationship with her family or something else that's leaving her torn up inside and the only way she can mask it is by thinking highly of herself and attempting to degrade those around her?
Far and away my favorite episode of the season so far. Lovely references to a large number of awesome movies. A concise yet gripping plot-line. Call-backs to previous seasons. More and more this season Equestria is feeling like a living, breathing place. The episode was full of so many great moments it would be pointless trying to list them all. It must be said, however: SADDLE-ARABIA. So amazing. I do have to admit, though, after that creepy opening scene with the shopkeeper, the cheerful opening theme rather took me by surprise. Season three is shaping up quite nicely so far.
This was a really good episode, and it's probably one of the funniest in the series so far. I laughed pretty hard when Trixie casted a comically large wing onto Rainbow Dash. Oh, and if you listen very closely at 6:02, you can hear the famous Wilhelm Scream.
Oh, my God, this was AWESOME. I did not think an episode this hyped would deliver on expectations, but it did.
Really? Wow... Kay you win. Considering I came back to check on the forums and post about it. :derpe:
I loved the episode, but found the ending a bit hard to believe. Trixie spent months brooding and plotting her revenge against Twilight, and then when Twilight humiliates her again (and even worse than last time at that) she's all, "oh my bad, I was silly so please forgive me"? That change came out of nowhere for me since they didn't show anything that would indicate Trixie undergoing a soul-searching change.
I assume that Trixie just gave up trying to best Twilight, since she'd never suceed. Also, if she made her an acquaintance, she could learn a few tips on magic and she could improve her business.
