Ahh no she didnt she mentioned she wanted Rainbow Dash to be like her sister, as in she wants Rainbow Dash to be her sister-figure since she does NOT have a sister herself. I mean if she did that would kind of defeat the whole purpose of the episode.
Fantastic episode. A simple yet "deep" message, Luna acting as a kind of dark spiritual mentor, a laser focus on Scootaloo (finally), Rarity still being a good sister (she apparently learned her lesson in Sisterhooves Social pretty permanently, which is the kind of character development I love seeing in a show), some great comedy bits, interesting dream sequences, etc. In other words, another very strong season three episode.

I agree with everything you just said about the episode, Sleepless in Ponyville has replaced Too Many Pinkie Pies as my favorite Season 3 episode so far don't worry I still like Too Many Pinkie Pies but Princess Luna has turned this episode into my favorite atleast for now we still have seven episodes left in the season so who knows what will happen next.
I think the one thing I love about this episode most, on top of it being beautiful in and of itself, it is also hopefully going to be used as a set up to do Dash/Scoots episodes in future seasons. And hopefully we will see more of Luna's Dreamscape powers in the future as well.
Luna now getting more air time. Sweeet! Another wonderful episode. Now we just need a freddy kruegar type fanfic or image to go with luna's new power.

Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Scootaloo was in a single parent/guardian type situation, I mean IMO at least this episode made it pretty clear scoots desire to have a strong female figure in her life, meaning *in my mind anyway* she doesn't have one at home. So maybe she lives with her Dad, or maybe a grand-parent or aunt/uncle. I do hope we learn more about Scoots home life in the future though, but until then Dash is a good fill in for Mentor/Surrogate Big-Sister. Edit: Also, Kind of Random, but since people compare Dash to Sonic, does that make Scootaloo Tails? Sorry for the double post but thought I should warn my fellow fans that apple bucked up yet again, the iTunes download of Sleepless In Ponyville has audio that goes out of Sync at 1 minute and 34-35 seconds into the episode. So yeah, do not download the episode off of iTunes yet.
Agreed. Apple has really had alot of problems with the latest season of MLP when it comes to downloads sadly, episode 3 was up before it even aired on TV, Magic Duel was 4-5 days late, then Sleepless In Ponyville was also late and had messed up audio track. At this point i'm giving up on Apple and just sticking to re-watching the episodes off of my DVR recordings and the DVDs available from shout. Hopefully though iTunes will fix the problem eventually so I can have my fav episode of pony on my mac & iPad. Either that or hopefully shout factory will release season 2 & 3 on DVD fairly soon. ..Le sigh, iTunes, why you fail so hard?
Yeah although we don't know when Season 2 is going to come on DVD boxset and Season 3 is going to come out anytime soon considering that it's still going on and has yet to finish.
@DBZ: Sad but true, Although at one of the MLP comicon panals earlier this year, they did mention there would be a season 2 DVD release in the future, but yeah in all honesty my guess is it'll probably be this time next year before we see a Season 3 DVD release, Season 2 probably won't be out till next spring/summer. Oh waiting, its such sweet sorrow!
